Station and sensor placement
The indoor base station should be placed in
an area away from vents, heating or cooling
elements. Do not place the base station in direct
sunlight or next to the window. The sun can have
an impact on the temperature and humidity
measurements.
The remote sensor(s) should be placed so that
the vents are placed downwards in a wet area.
The remote sensor can be placed flat if it is
placed in a dry area. Make sure the vents at the
bottom are not obstructed. The remote sensor
should be no further than 60 meters away from
the base station. Walls or other structures can
reduce this distance.
Although the remote sensor has a rainproof
design, we recommend to set it up in a place
where there is no rainfall directly on the sensor.
Some household appliances can interfere with
the signal. If the base station does not receive
the temperature and humidity data, relocate
the sensor or base station.

Batteries and charging

Base Station
The base station has a battery compartment
where you can use three 'AAA' batteries. This
is used as a backup when power to the unit is
lost. We recommend using the DC power plug
and the cable and only using the batteries as
a backup.
Remote Sensor
The remote sensor has a built-in lithium battery
which you need to charge before putting the
sensor outside. Plug in the USB to the charging
port of the remote sensor. The LED light will turn
red. The remote sensor needs to be charged for
four hours. The LED will turn green if the battery
is fully charged.
Low battery warning
There will be a warning on the base station if
the battery of the base station or remote sensor
is low.
