Establish an assembly area outside the building.
IN CASE OF FIRE
1.
Stay calm – panic is your worst enemy.
2.
Evacuate the building as quickly as possible. Feel all doors before opening them, and do not
open warm doors. Choose an alternative exit if necessary. Creep along the floor and never stop
to try to take something with you.
3.
Assemble in previously agreed place outside the building.
4.
Alarm the fire brigade when you are outside the building.
5.
Never go back into a burning building. Wait until the fire brigade arrives.
NOTE:
These guidelines increase the chances of the involved parties to manage in the event of a fire, but
to work they must be practiced regularly!
MAINTENANCE
•
Test the smoke detector every week.
•
Clean the smoke detector every month. Remove the batteries before cleaning. Check the
connection with the test button after cleaning.
•
If the smoke detector is not working properly, check the batteries.
•
Only replace the batteries with new batteries of the same type.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Nothing happens when the test
button is pressed.

learn button is pressed.
An audio signal is given at
43-second intervals.

Cause
9 V battery not properly
inserted.
1.5 V batteries not properly

Insert the 9 V battery with the
polarity shown in the battery
compartment.
Insert 3 x 1.5 V batteries with
the polarity shown in the
battery compartment.
Replace the 9 V battery.
Replace the 3 x 1.5 V batteries.
