TEST
Press the test button. A loud audio signal is
heard and the red alarm status light starts
flashing. The red/green status light for
connecting/learning mode flashes and a
wireless alarm signal is given at the same time
to all the connected smoke detectors within
range. This shows that the smoke detector is
working properly. You can also do a test with
artificial smoke.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
1.
Grip the smoke detector casing, twist
anticlockwise and unhook the detector
from the wall/ceiling holder.
2.
Remove the old battery and then connect
the new battery.
3.
Put the new battery in the battery
compartment, fit the detector in the wall/
ceiling holder and lock in place in the
holder by twisting clockwise.
4.
Test the smoke detector by pressing the
test button. The alarm gives a loud audio
prompt. If there is no load alarm signal
the smoke detector is either defective or
incorrectly installed. See troubleshooting
section.
OBS!
The detector will not fit in the wall/
ceiling holder if no battery is inserted.
Do not take out the battery unless a new
battery is to be immediately inserted.

detectors are connected, press the learn button

CONNECTED
1.
When the correct setting is made, keep
the test button on the host unit pressed
until the red alarm status light and the
red/green status light for connection/
learn flash continuously and a wireless
alarm signal is given.
2.
When a slave unit receives a signal from
the host unit the status light for learn mode
flashes continuously and an alarm is given
at the same time by all the connected units.
The red status light goes off.
3.
When the required units are connected,
press the test button on one of the
alarm units. The other connected smoke
detectors give an alarm and the status
lights flash continuously.
REMOVAL
Press the learn button on the unit to be
removed, to put the unit in the mode for green
status light. Press the test button to activate
normal alarm mode. The red status light
for alarm and the red/green status light for
connection/learn flash continuously to show
that the smoke detector has been removed.
FIRE DRILLS
When an alarm sounds everyone must know
what to do. Prepare yourself and others in the
building by establishing evacuation plans, and
practice regularly.
1.
Let everyone hear the alarm signal and
ensure that they all know what it means.
2.
Establish two exits from each room and
one evacuation route from the building
for each of these two exits.
3.
Teach everyone to feel doors before
opening them. If the door is warm it must
not be opened – choose an alternative exit.
4.
Explain that smoke and fumes rise to
the ceiling – creep along the floor if
evacuation must take place through
smoke filled rooms.
