Intended purpose
LumboLoc Forte ES is a medical product. It is an orthosis
and relief of the lumbar spine with a variable strap system and back pad.
LumboLoc Forte XT is a medical product. It is an orthosis
and relief of the lumbar spine with a variable strap system and large back pad.
LumboLoc Forte SP is a medical product. It is an orthosis
stabilization and relief of the lumbar spine with large back pad and lateral pads.

Risks of using these products
Caution*
• LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT and LumboLoc Forte SP must only be worn
in accordance with the specifications contained in these instructions and used for
the areas of application (places of use) listed. To guarantee the best possible fit of
the LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT and LumboLoc Forte SP, it is essential
to check whether the products are adequately shaped and whether they need to be
anatomically reshaped by a specialist 2 . Only a specialist may carry out the (initial)
fitting of the orthoses and provide instruction.
• The sewn-in label of the LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT and LumboLoc
Forte SP, which contains information on the product name, size, manufacturer,
washing instructions and CE mark, is located on the upper edge of the knitted part.
LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT or LumboLoc Forte SP must be applied over
a T-shirt or undershirt.
• Use in combination with other products, e.g. as part of compression treatment
(compression pantyhose), must be discussed beforehand with your physician.
• If you notice any unusual changes or your symptoms get worse, please contact your
physician without delay.
• No product liability is accepted in the event of improper use.
• Do not allow the product to come into contact with ointments, lotions, or substances
containing grease or acids.
• Do not make any alterations to the product. Failure to comply with this requirement
may adversely affect product performance, thereby voiding any product liability.
• Side effects involving the body as a whole have not been reported to date. Correct
usage/fitting is assumed. Do not put LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT and
LumboLoc Forte SP on too tightly as this could lead to local pressure symptoms.
In rare cases, constriction of blood vessels and nerves may occur. If this happens,
loosen the straps of the LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT or LumboLoc Forte
SP and, if necessary, check the size of your product.
Contains natural rubber latex (elastodiene), which can cause skin irritation in
persons with an allergy. Take off the orthoses if you notice any allergic reaction.

großer Rückenpelotte.
Die LumboLoc Forte SP ist ein Medizinprodukt. Sie ist eine Orthese
Rundum-Stabilisierung und Entlastung der Lendenwirbelsäule mit großer Rücken-
pelotte und seitlichen Pelotten.

Angaben dieser Gebrauchsanweisung und den aufgeführten Anwendungsgebieten
(Einsatzort) zu tragen. Um einen optimalen Sitz der LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc
Forte XT und LumboLoc Forte SP zu gewährleisten muss überprüft werden, ob die
Produkte ausreichend angeformt sind und ggf. köpergerecht vom Fachpersonal
nachgeformt werden müssen. Die (erstmalige) Anpassung und Einweisung darf nur
durch Fachpersonal erfolgen.
• Das Einnähetikett der LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT und LumboLoc Forte SP
mit Informationen zu Produktnamen, Größe, Hersteller, Waschanleitung und CE-
Kennzeichnung befindet sich am oberen Rand des Gestrickteils. Tragen Sie die
LumboLoc Forte ES, LumboLoc Forte XT oder LumboLoc Forte SP über einem T-Shirt
oder Unterhemd.
• Sprechen Sie eine Kombination mit anderen Produkten, z. B. im Rahmen einer
Kompres sions therapie (Kompressionsstrumpfhosen) vorher mit Ihrem behandelnden
Arzt ab.
• Nehmen Ihre Beschwerden zu oder stellen Sie außergewöhnliche Veränderungen an
sich fest, suchen Sie bitte umgehend Ihren Arzt auf.
• Bei unsachgemäßer oder zweckentfremdeter Anwendung ist eine Produkthaftung
ausgeschlossen.
• Lassen Sie das Produkt nicht mit fett- und säurehaltigen Mitteln, Salben und
Lotionen in Berührung kommen.
• Nehmen Sie keine Veränderung am Produkt vor. Bei Nichtbeachtung kann die
Leistung des Produktes beeinträchtigt werden und eine Produkthaftung ausge-
schlossen werden.
• Nebenwirkungen, die den gesamten Organismus betreffen, sind bis jetzt nicht
bekannt. Das sachgemäße Anwenden / Anlegen wird vorausgesetzt. Legen Sie die

Contraindications
No clinically significant hypersensitive reactions have been reported to date. If you have
any of the following conditions, such aids should only be fitted and worn after
consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders/injuries in the part of the body being treated, particularly if
inflammation is present. Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness, and
excessive heat build-up.
• Impaired sensation and circulatory disorders in the arm / hand (e.g. diabetes mellitus)
• Impaired lymph drainage, including soft tissue swellings of uncertain origin in parts
of the body where the orthosis is not worn.
• Significant restriction of cardiopulmonary performance (risk of raised blood pressure

Start by unfastening the tensioning straps and securing them on the sides. Then open
the large fastening. Take off the orthosis. After removing the orthosis, refasten the
abdominal fastening to avoid damage.
Cleaning instructions
Note: Never expose the orthosis to direct heat (e. g. heater, sunlight, in your car, etc.)!
This may damage the material, which can impair the effectiveness of the orthosis.
Fasten all Velcro straps before washing to avoid damage. Wash the orthosis and the
pads separately by hand with a mild detergent.

If handled and cared for correctly, the products are practically maintenance-free.
Assembly and fitting instructions
The LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP is supplied in a
standard size, ready to use.
The pads are equipped with a Velcro strip and can be variably positioned on the knitted
part, making it possible to individually adjust the orthosis to fit the patient's anatomy.
With the lateral pads, always position the Velcro strips first and then the pads to
prevent damages to the knitted fabric.
Technical specifications / parameters
The LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP consists of a
knitted fabric part as well as back (D) and abdominal (C) pads. LumboLoc Forte SP
also contains lateral pads (E). All pads are already pre-assembled. No spare parts are
available.
Notes on reuse
These products are intended to be fitted to one patient only.
Warranty
The statutory regulations of the country of purchase apply. Please first contact the
retailer from whom you obtained the products directly in the event of a potential claim
under the warranty. The products must be cleaned before submitting it in case of
warranty claims. The warranty may be limited or excluded if the instructions on how to
handle and care for the LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP
have not been observed. Warranty is excluded if:
• The product was not used according to the indication
• The instructions given by the specialist were not observed
• The products were modified arbitrarily

Due to regional legal regulations, you are obliged to immediately report any serious
incident involving the use of a medical product to both the manufacturer and the

Anwendungshinweise

großen Verschluss. Legen Sie die Orthese ab. Kletten Sie den Bauchverschluss nach
dem Ablegen der Orthese wieder zusammen, um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.
Reinigungshinweise
Hinweis: Setzen Sie die Orthese nie direkter Hitze (z. B. Heizung, Sonneneinstrahlung,
Lagerung im Pkw) aus! Dadurch sind Schäden am Material möglich. Dies kann die
Wirksamkeit der Orthese beeinträchtigen.
Schließen Sie vor dem Waschen alle Klettgurte um Beschädigung zu vermeiden.
Waschen Sie die Orthese und die Pelotten separat mit einem Feinwaschmittel per
Hand.

Zusammenbau- und Montageanweisung
Die LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP wird in
Standardgröße, gebrauchsfertig geliefert.
Die Pelotten sind mit einem Klettstreifen versehen und können variabel auf dem
Gestrickteil verschoben werden, dadurch ist eine individuelle Anpassung an
die Anatomie des Patienten möglich. Bei den seitliche Pelotten immer erst den
Klettstreifen und dann die Pelotten positionieren, um Beschädigungen am Gestrick zu
vermeiden.
Technische Daten / Parameter
Die LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP besteht aus einem
Gestrickteil sowie Rücken- (D) und Bauchpelotte (C). Die LumboLoc Forte SP beinhaltet
zusätzlich seitliche Pelotten (E). Alle Pelotten sind bereits vormontiert. Es sind keine
Ersatzteile erhältlich.

Das Produkt ist zur Individualversorgung eines Patienten oder einer Patientin

• Check the optimal and individual fit of the
LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP after the first fitting.
Make any corrections if necessary.
• Practice the correct procedure for putting on the orthosis with the patient.
• No improper modifications may be made to the products. Failure to comply with this
requirement may adversely affect products performance, thereby cancelling any
product liability.
• The LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP is intended for the
treatment of one patient only.
The corset stays are anatomically contoured, but they still need to be individually
adjusted to suit the patient's anatomy.
Shaping the stays
Carefully remove the stays on the outside of the orthoses from the insertion pockets
and shape them to the anatomy of the patient. Reinsert the stays into the pockets
provided.
Positioning the pads
Unfasten the pads from the knitted section of the orthosis. Position the pads at the
anatomically correct points and refasten them.

• Üben Sie das richtige Anlegen mit dem Patienten.
• Eine unsachgemäße Änderung am Produkt darf nicht vorgenommen werden. Bei
Nichtbeachtung kann die Leistung des Produktes beeinträchtigt werden, so dass eine
Produkthaftung ausgeschlossen wird.
• Die LumboLoc Forte ES / LumboLoc Forte XT / LumboLoc Forte SP ist zur Versorgung
nur eines Patienten vorgesehen.
Die Korsettstäbe sind anatomisch (körpergerecht) vorgeformt, müssen jedoch an die
individuelle Anatomie des Patienten angepasst werden.
Anformen der Stäbe
Nehmen Sie die Stäbe auf der Außenseite der Orthese vorsichtig aus den
Einstecktaschen heraus und formen Sie diese an die Anatomie des Patienten an.
Stecken Sie die Stäbe wieder in die dafür vorgesehenen Taschen.
Positionieren der Pelotten
Kletten Sie die Pelotten vom Gestrickteil der Orthese ab. Positionieren Sie die Pelotten
an die anatomisch korrekten Punkte und kletten Sie diese wieder auf.
