CAUTION
Hot steam!
Hot steam escapes from the device. Do not

operate the appliance underneath delicate
furniture (e.g. wall cupboards).
Place the appliance on a level, firm, dry and
•
heat-resistant surface, and leave sufficient
space around the appliance.
Do not place the appliance on surfaces that
•
are susceptible to water. Water splashes and/
or condensed steam could damage it.
Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces
•
such as hotplates or near open gas flames, as
this could damage the casing.
4.4| OTHER NOTES AND TIPS
Let the appliance cool down completely
•
before cleaning or putting it away.
If liquids are heated in the hot pot bowl
•
and a lot of steam forms, reduce the heat
before immersing the baskets or ladles to
remove the food.
Switch the appliance off and pull out the

mains plug before using other accessories or
cleaning the appliance.
The appliance is used for the preparation of
•
food. The appliance and all accessories should
therefore be kept clean at all times.

5| INTENDED USE

The WMF Lono Hot Pot & Steam is a space sav-
ing and energy efficient kitchen appliance
which can be used for cooking together, keep-
ing food warm and serving different dishes
from one pot. It can also be used for steam
cooking.
The hot pot allows you to prepare individual
compositions in style, or two different sauces or
soups in the traditional way. With the steamer
insert you can also gently steam food such as
vegetables, meat, whole fish, dumplings and
rice.
6| USING THE APPLIANCE FOR
THE FIRST TIME
Before using the appliance for the fi st time,
please remove any stickers that may be present
and proceed as follows:
1| Rinse the removable parts before using the
appliance for the fi st time.
2| Insert the power cord into the appliance
below the right handle. Right is when the
appliance is in front of you and the tempera-
ture controller is pointing towards you.
3| Connect the mains plug to a socket. Check
before that the temperature controller is on
the minimum position, completely to the left.
