Unpacking
Check that all parts are complete and intact.
Damaged parts must not be used for safety reasons. If any parts are damaged,
contact our customer service for assistance.
Setting up the device
Set up the device such that to ensure convenient operation and data reading.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the device. Do not cover or seal the ventilation
apertures of the device.
Operation
Connect the included mains cable to the mains connector on the back of the device, and then
connect the safety plug to an earthed mains socket.
Switch on the device with the power switch (I/0).
After a short initialisation period, the device is ready for operation.
Connect the corresponding test leads to the CD connectors. The red connector corresponds
with the positive pole and the black one with the negative pole.
The earth potential socket is directly connected to the protective earth on the mains
plug.
Turn off the device after completing the operation.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Opening covers on the product or removing parts that cannot be removed by hand
may expose voltage-carrying components.
Before cleaning or repairing the device, turn it off and disconnect all cables.
Always replace defective micro-fuses with new ones of the indicated type and rated
amperage. Using repaired fuses or bypassing the fuse carrier is inadmissible due to
safety reasons.
Do not use scouring, chemical or aggressive cleaning agents such as benzene, alcohol or
similar chemicals. They might damage the surface of the device. In addition, the vapours
emitted by these substances are explosive and harmful to your health. Do not use sharp-edged
tools, screwdrivers or metal brushes to clean the device.
Use a clean, damp, lint-free and antistatic cloth to clean the device, display and test leads.
If you have any questions about handling the device, do not hesitate to contact our
technical support.
Disposal
Electronic products are raw materials and should not be disposed of with household
waste. When the device has reached the end of its service life, it should be disposed
of under the current statutory requirements at your local collection site.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
