3. Packing the bike

1. Place the bottom shell (with all the straps) on the ground
and place one of the foam layers into the bottom shell.
2. Then put the prepared bike frame into the case.
→The seat post must be fully inserted or, if necessary,
the saddle removed.
→Remove the handlebar and the pedals.
→Use the chain protection wrap to protect the chain
and the rear derailleur (see "3.1 Protecting the rear
derailleur" on page 13).
→You can use the foam block to protect the chain ring
and, using the foam tubes, you can protect the fork and
frame.
→You can protect and fasten the disassembled handlebars onto the top tube or fork using the
handlebar spacers.
→The spacers for the rear hanger end and the fork hanger also protect your frame.
3. Secure the frame using the straps anchored in the case shell.
First close the top strap in the centre so that your bicycle is "suspended" in the case. Then fasten the
two straps running diagonally in the centre and tighten all straps until you have the feeling that the
bicycle is secure.
4. Now place the next layer of foam onto the frame.
5. Put your wheels in the wheel guard bags and then place
them onto the foam layer.
Make sure that there is enough space between the
sprocket and the frame.
6. Then place the final layer of foam on top.
7. Now lay the top shell onto the bottom shell and ensure
that both case shells interlock at the six points.
8. Now secure the 4 straps at the sides.
9. Then fasten the long strap in the centre.
