A. Mounting instructions
1) Unwrap the plant from the cardboard wrapping.
2) Lift off the cover of the plant and take out draining hose and connecting pie-­
ces placed in the salt reservoir.
3) The connection between the salt valve and the head of the softening plant
itself have been dismounted prior to transport;; this connection shall be re-­
established and the coupling on the branch piece shall be tightened carefully
by hand.
4) The "black" connecting pieces shall be furnished with the enclosed O-­rings
and lubricated with silicone from the small tube. Then assemble the con-­
necting pieces on the head of the softening plant at the in/out arrows. The
stainless xture shall be tted on the outside of the connecting pieces and
the split pin attached so that the connecting pieces are kept in place.
5) Check that there are no mechanical impurities after the installation work – if
necessary ush the installation before tting the lter.
6) The draining hose shall be installed on the head of the softening plant in the
outlet branch intended for it, and the coupling shall be tightened manually.
7) Supply the plant with exible pressure hoses for intake raw water and outlet
soft water respectively, see drawing below. Kinetico keeps complete assembly
kits in stock.
8) Draining hoses shall be led to oor drain, see below drawing.
9) Having done this, start up the plant in accordance with next section (B).
NB! There should always be a oor drain near the plant, so that a possible leak
does not cause damage.
