2.4. General safety instructions

The following general safety instructions must be observed for the installation
and operation of the PDU. Danger in case of misuse! Misuse of the PDU can
lead to dangerous situations.
WARNING!

Use only in closed, well-ventilated and dry rooms.
- Never use the PDU in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
Risk of damage to the PDU due to condensation!
Changes in humidity and temperature can cause condensation to form.
Moisture in the PDU can lead to damage or even destruction.

Only use the PDU in a dry environment.

Never store the PDU in a damp place.
- Allow the PDU to acclimatize when moving to a new location.

Never switch on the PDU if condensation is visible.
- Working on live parts with wet hands can result in death. Avoid
working with wet hands.
- When selecting the installation site, ensure that there is no high
humidity, high temperatures (see technical data sheet), wetness,
solvents, flammable gases, dust or vapours. Heat generated by
operation must be dissipated.
- This equipment is not suitable for use in locations where children
may be present.

Connect only to a power source whose voltage matches the
specified rated voltage of the PDU.
Refer to the PDU nameplate for the appropriate values.

The building installation must have suitable protection against short
circuits and overloads. The corresponding rated current values can
be found on the type label of the PDU.

Never operate the PDU above its rated capacity.
- The BN2000 PDU does NOT have a disconnect device for all-pole
mains disconnection.
