führung müssen sie diese Anleitung gelesen und verstanden haben.
Gerät nicht öffnen. Keine Fremdobjekte einführen. Gerät von Wasser und Feuer fernhal-

• Gerät nur in spannungsfreiem Zustand anschließen oder trennen.
• Die einschlägigen Normen, Richtlinien, Vorschriften und Bestimmungen des jeweiligen
Landes sind zu beachten.
System gesis® FLEX: Das 1-phasig versorgte KNX DALI Gateway im flachen, auf Tragschiene
montierbaren AP-Gehäuse zum dezentralen Einbau kann bis zu 64 DALI-2 Vorschaltgeräte in
16 Gruppen und in Einzel-EVG Ansteuerung verwalten. Es ist DALI-2 Single Master zertifiziert,
unterstützt alle gängigen DALI Device Typen und ermöglichen damit z. B. RGBW, Tunable
White und die komplexe Farbsteuerung mittels Device Typ 8. Die Parametrierung erfolgt mit
der ETS ab Version 5. Am Modul können Fehler und Statusmeldungen abgerufen sowie die
DALI-Gruppen angesteuert werden. Der 5-polige Ausgang beinhaltet DALI +/-, L, N und PE.
Die nach IEC 61535 steckbaren, elektrischen Verbindungen zu den Sensoren und Verbrau-
chern trennen Automation und Installation.
1 Bedien- und Funktionselemente (Abbildung 1)
(1) Taster 'manual' Ein kurzer Tastendruck aktiviert die Handbedienung in der Ebene
1, mit jedem weiteren Tastendruck wird eine Ebene weitergeschal-
tet. Nach Ebene 3 folgt wieder Ebene 1, usw. reihum. Mit einem lan-
gen Tastendruck (>3 s) kann die Handbedienung beendet werden.
Wird eine Minute lang kein Taster (manual, select, on/off) betätigt,
endet die Handbedienung automatisch.
(2) LED 'manual' Zeigt einen Fehler oder den Status der Handbedienung an:

• Grün blinkend: Die Handbedienung in Ebene 2 ist aktiv.

(3) Taster 'select' Der Taster 'select' wählt durch kurzes Drücken eine einzelne Leuch-
tengruppe aus. Jeder Tastendruck schaltet eine Gruppe weiter. Die
der Gruppe zugehörige LED blinkt. In der Ebene 1 können die Grup-
pen 1...8 und in der Ebene 2 die Gruppen 9...16 ausgewählt werden.
In der Ebene 3 kann durch langes Drücken (>3 s) ein Schnellaus-
tauschkommando für den EVG Wechsel gesendet werden ('ECG
exchange'). In diesen Fall wird der lange Tastendruck durch kurzes
aufleuchten der LED 5/13 bestätigt. Im Anschluss wird die Handbe-
dienung beendet.
(4) Taster 'on/off' Mit einem kurzen Tastendruck kann in der Ebene 1 oder 2 die mit
dem Taster 'select' ausgewählte Leuchtengruppe ein- oder ausge-
schaltet werden (toggle). Die der jeweiligen Gruppe zugehörige LED
('1/9'...'8/16') zeigt den Schaltstatus an. In der Ebene 3 können mit
einem kurzen Tastendruck per Broadcastbefehl alle Leuchtengrup-
pen ein- oder ausgeschaltet werden (toggle). In diesem Fall zeigt
die LED 1/9 den Schaltstatus an.
(5) LED '1/9'...'8/16' Die acht LEDs zeigen in der Ebene 1 den Schaltstatus der Leuchten-
gruppen 1...8 und in der Ebene 2 der Gruppen 9...16 an. Die aktuell
mit dem Taster 'select' ausgewählte Gruppe blinkt.
In der Ebene 3 ist die Anzeige wie folgt:

Unabhängig von der Ebene blinken alle 8 LEDs bei einem Program-
miervorgang, z. B. während eine Neu- oder Nachinstallation durch-
geführt wird.
(6) Taster 'KNX' Der Taster 'KNX' toggelt durch kurzes Drücken den KNX-Program-
(7) LED 'KNX' miermodus. Die zugehörige rote LED zeigt den Status des Program-
miermodus an, und blinkt, wenn ein Programmiervorgang stattfin-
det oder die KNX-Busspannung fehlt. Diese Funktionen sind unab-
hängig von der Bedienebene.
In der Ebene 3 kann durch langen Tastendruck (>3 s) zusätzlich das
Kommando 'converter inhibit' gesendet werden. In diesen Fall wird
der lange Tastendruck durch kurzes aufleuchten der LEDs 1/9 und
5/13 bestätigt. Im Anschluss wird die Handbedienung beendet.

2 Montage (Abbildung 2)
Schritt 1: Optional: Befestigung auf Tragschiene oder Montagerahmen
1.1 Mit Schraubendreher den Rastfuß nach oben ziehen.
1.2 Modul auf Tragschiene setzen.
1.3 Rastfuß nach unten drücken. Das Modul ist auf der Tragschiene montiert.
Schritt 2: Steckverbinder stecken und sichern
2.1 Am Modul die Steckverbinder einstecken.
2.2 Wichtig: Festen Sitz aller Steckverbindungen sicherstellen. Rasthaken prüfen.
2.3 Bei Montagerahmen: Kabel mit Kabelbinder am Montagerahmen befestigen.

System gesis® FLEX – The 1-phase supplied KNX DALI Gateway with flat surface mounted
housing which can be fitted on DIN rails for decentralized installation is able to control 64
DALI-2 electronic control gears in 16 groups and single ECG control as well. It is DALI-2 single
master certified, supports all common DALI device types and thus enables e.g. RGBW, tuna-
ble white and complex color control via device type 8. The commissioning is done with the
ETS from version 5. Errors and status messages as well as the 16 DALI groups can be re-
trieved at the module. The 5-pole output includes DALI +/-, L, N and PE. The electrical con-
nections, which are pluggable in accordance with IEC 61535, separate automation and in-
stallation.
1 Controls and functional elements (Figure 1)
(1) 'manual' button A short keystroke activates manual operation in level 1, each fur-
ther keystroke switches to the next level. Level 3 is followed by
level 1 again, and so on in turn. With a long keystroke (>3 s) the
manual operation can be terminated. If no key (manual, select,
on/off) is pressed for one minute, manual operation ends automat-
ically.
(2) 'manual' LED Indicates an error or the status of manual operation:

(3) 'select' button The 'select' button selects an individual luminaire group by a short
press. Each press of the button advances one group. The LED asso-
ciated with the group flashes. In level 1, groups 1...8 and in level 2,
groups 9...16 can be selected. In level 3 a long press (>3 s) can send
a quick exchange command for the ECG change ('ECG exchange').
In this case the long key press is confirmed by a short flashing of
the LED 5/13. Subsequently, the manual operation is terminated.
(4) 'on/off' button With a short key press in level 1 or 2, the luminaire group which has
been selected using the 'select' key can be switched on or off (tog-
gle). The LED ('1/9'...'8/16') associated with the respective group
indicates the switching status. In level 3, all luminaire groups can
be switched on or off (toggle) with a short key press via broadcast
command. In this case, LED 1/9 indicates the switching status.
(5) '1/9'...'8/16' LED The eight LEDs indicate the switching status of the lighting groups
1...8 in level 1 and of the groups 9...16 in level 2. The group cur-
rently selected with the 'select' button flashes.
In level 3 the display is as follows:

Regardless of the level, all 8 LEDs flash during a programming oper-
ation, e. g. while performing a new or subsequent installation.
(6) 'KNX' button The button 'KNX' toggles the KNX programming mode by a short
(7) 'KNX' LED press. The associated red LED indicates the status of the program-
ming mode and flashes when a programming operation is in pro-
gress or the KNX bus voltage is missing. These functions are inde-
pendent of the operating level.
In level 3 the command 'converter inhibit' can be sent additionally
by a long keystroke (>3 s). In this case the long key press is con-
firmed by a short flashing of the LEDs 1/9 and 5/13. Subsequently,
the manual operation is terminated.

2 Installation (Figure 2)
Step 1: Optional: Fastening on mounting rail or assembly frame
1.1 Use a screwdriver to pull the locking base upwards.
1.2 Place module onto mounting rail.
1.3 Press down the locking base. The module is installed on the mounting rail.
Step 2: Plug in connectors and secure
2.1 Plug in the connectors at the module.
2.2 Important: Ensure the firm fit of all connections. Check detent hook.
2.3 For assembly frames: use cable ties to fasten cables to the assembly frame.
