18 Disposal of the Old Device

Old electric and electronic devices frequently still contain valuable materials.
However, they also contain damaging substances, which were necessary for
their functionality and safety. If these were put in the non-recyclable waste or
were handled incorrectly, they could be detrimental to human health and the
environment. Therefore, do not put your old device into the non-recyclable
waste under any circumstances.
► Utilise the collection point, established in your town, to return and recycle old electric
and electronic devices. If necessary, contact your town hall, local refuse collection
service or your dealer for information.
► Ensure that your old device is stored safely away from children until it is taken away.
Spraying or brushing the food with a small amount of oil can
increase the crispiness.
Make sure that the inner frying basket is not overfilled with
food.
Make sure that the inner frying basket is firmly seated in the
outer container.
When you use the appliance for the first time, you may
notice white smoke. This is normal.
Make sure that the container, frying basket and the inside of
the hot air fryer are well cleaned and not greasy.
When cooking greasy food, oil may get into the container of
the frying basket. This oil produces white smoke and the
container and frying basket may be hotter than usual. This
is normal and does not affect the cooking process. Handle
the baskets with care.
Immediately unplug the appliance from the mains. Dark
smoke means food is burning or there is a problem with the
electrical circuit. Wait until the smoke has cleared before
removing the baskets. If the cause was not burnt food,
contact customer service.
The connection to the temperature sensor in the appliance
is broken. Contact customer service.
The temperature sensor in the device is defective. Contact
customer service.
