First, please remove all packing material from the barbecue.
Then insert the heater element as follows:
The thermostat housing must be fitted into the provided recess
in the barbecue tray, and the heater element must be at an
angle of approximately 20º in relation to the upper surface of
the barbecue tray. The thermostat housing can now be slid
onto the edges of the barbecue tray. Now slowly lower the
heater element, whereby the two ends of the lateral wire
beneath the heater element must enter the holes in the barbe-
cue tray.
The windshield prevents heat loss due to the effect of the wind,
which will result in longer grilling times.
First remove the cooking grill. Then slide the two outer projec-
tions of the windshield into the holes to the left and right of the
barbecue tray at an angle from above, and slide the windshield
part of the way toward the thermostat housing. Then push the
projection at the lower edge of the windshield into the provid-
ed recess in the barbecue tray.
Place barbecue on a solid, level surface. Before connecting
equipment to power supply, place reflector in tray and fill up to
maximum mark with water, so that aluminium reflector is
covered with water. The water level must never drop below the
minimum mark. To make the reflector easier to clean later it
may be covered with aluminium foil. If the water evaporates
too quickly during cooking, top water up accordingly in order
to prevent tray from overheating. However, never pour water
Cooking
directly onto heating spiral, since this would become damaged.
Grill
Now move cooking grill to required height in position 1, 2 or 3
by hooking cooking grill into opening in barbecue tray using
the four studs beneath the handles.
