Installation

Select a place for installation where the safe is not immediately visible or easily accessible. This
may be behind a closet door or behind books, folders, or similar.
Installation in a partition wall (hollow wall) would also be ideal; a picture may be hung up in
front of the door.

The safe can be mounted to a wall as well as on the fl oor, or another stable surface, using the
holes in the housing.
Version 02/12
Suitable screws and screw plugs may be necessary for installation depending on the surface.
Additional fi xation with special clue or similar is possible, if the surface is suitable.
Opening/closing the safe with the key
• Remove the round, thin plastic cover from the lock; it is
situated directly to the right of the closing handle.
• Insert the key into the lock observing the correct orien-
tation and turn the key a little to the left in anti-clockwise
direction.
Hold the key in this position and turn the closing handle
to the right until it stops. Take the key out of the lock and
open the safe door.
• To close the safe, shut the safe door fi rst. Then, turn
the closing handle to the left until it stops; the lock is
engaged.
Check the lock; you should not be able to turn the closing handle to the right.
Inserting/Replacing Batteries
• Open the safe using the keys as described above.
• Open the battery case at the back of the door; to do this, slide the cover backwards until it can
be removed.
• Insert four new „AA/mignon" batteries with the correct polarity (observe +/Plus and -/Minus).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• Replacing the batteries is necessary, when the red LED light up when opening the safe or
the safe cannot be opened when entering the code. The access code is maintained when
replacing the batteries.

Operation

Opening the safe by entering the code
• Enter the code and then press either the asterisk or the hash key. A beep will be heard every
time a key is pressed.
• When the code is correct, the green LED will light up and two beeps will be heard.
Turn the closing handle to the right until it stops within 5 seconds and open the door. If the
closing handle is not moved, the lock closes automatically after 5 seconds due to safety
reasons.
• If the code is incorrect, 3 beeps will be heard. After entering the wrong code three times, the
number pad is locked for 20 seconds. If a wrong code is entered three times once again, the
number pad is locked for 5 minutes.
• To close the safe, shut the safe door fi rst. Then, turn the closing handle to the left until it stops;
the lock is engaged.
Check the lock; you should not be able to turn the closing handle to the right.
Protect the safe from dampness and humidity. Thus, do not install the safe in rooms
with high humidity or damp basements.
If the safe is locked upon delivery, use the keys enclosed to open it.
The corresponding lock is hidden behind a small, thin plastic cover, which is situated
directly right to the closing handle.
This may be necessary when the batteries are half-fl at or fl at so that the safe cannot
be opened by entering the access code. The safe can be used in this way without
batteries, if desired.
If you accidentally turn the closing handle to the left when the safe door ist open
so that both lock bolts reach out of the safe door (the safe cannot be closed now),
simply proceed as described above.
If the safe does not respond to entries on the number pad, it can also be opened
using the keys enclosed. The corresponding lock is situated under a thin plastic
cover right to the closing handle, see image above.
The default setting for the code is "159".
If you accidentally turn the closing handle to the left when the safe door ist open
so that both lock bolts reach out of the safe door (the safe cannot be closed now),
simply proceed as described above.
