Adjusting and using the parking brake

Upon delivery, the parking brake is correctly adjusted
according to the configuration status. If you have made
changes to the wheel position, the brake adjustment
may need to be changed.
To do this, remove both screws on the underside of the
respective brake (photo 13) and push the complete unit
onto the guide such that there is a distance of 12 mm
between the brake bolt and the tire (photo 14). Retigh-
ten both screws and the parking brake is now optimally
adjusted.
13
Ensure that all screws are reinserted and tightened!
To use the parking brake, press the brake lever firmly
from the front until it noticeably clicks into place – the
parking brake is now engaged (photo 15).
To release, pull the brake lever towards you and the par-
king brake is unlocked (photo 16).
15
Always ensure that the parking brake is locked by att-
empting to move the wheelchair.

Adjusting and using

the hand brake (optional)

Upon delivery, the optio-
nal hand brake is correctly
adjusted for the attendant.
If braking is insufficient,
this can be increased by
unscrewing the adjusting
screw and decreased by
screwing in the adjusting
screw (photo 19).
For adjustment, first remove the locking nut and then
perform the corresponding adjustment; thereafter re-
tighten the locking nut and in doing so, use pliers to hold
the adjusting screw. To brake the wheelchair by the at-
tendant, pull up both brake handles at the hand grip.
To apply the brakes (such as for parking), you can lock the
brake handle in the braking position by simply pushing
the locking mechanism forwards with your finger until it
snaps into place; to unlock, push the locking mechanism
back (photo 20+21).
20
If you need to step away from the wheelchair while it is
occupied, it is essential to additionally apply the parking
brake.
