• Never place the mains cable over hot surfaces, sharp edges or corners.
• Never disconnect the product from the mains by pulling on the mains
cable. Always pull out the plug.
• Switch off and unplug the product from the outlet whenever the product is
not in use.
• Do not expose the infrared heater to rain.
• Extra protection is recommended by installing a ground fault circuit interrupter.
• Do not hold onto the power cable when carrying or moving the product.
• Wipe the housing with a dry cloth if necessary.
• Connect the terrace heater to a grounded outlet that is visible and easily accessible.
• The user is liable for any damage to the terrace heater that is caused by not
using the product for its intended purpose or by not following this user manu-
al correctly. In such cases the right of complaint does not apply.
OVERVIEW
ASSEMBLY AND USE
1. Secure a hook (not supplied) to the roof where you intend placing the terrace heater.
The hook must be strong enough to hold a weight four times that of the terrace heater.
Speak to an expert if you are unsure which hook to use.
2. Attach the chain to the terrace heater and to the hook in the roof. Remember that the
distance between the roof and the heater must be at least 50 cm. The distance
between the floor and the heater must be at least 180 cm.
3. The power cable of the terrace heater must always be fed upwards and must not lie
close to the terrace heater.
4. Connect only to a grounded outlet.
5. To start the terrace heater, pull the switch cord. Pull once for 800 W, pull again for
1200 W, pull again for 2000 W and then pull a further time for OFF.
