11 – Unit maintenance
Warning: All the operations described in this paragraph must be performed by qualified staff.
Warning: Before proceeding with the maintenance operations, cut off the electric power supply.
Warning: Other maintenance operations, (not described herein) including replacement of lamps with lamps of the same
model, have to be commissioned to authorised centres of assistance or qualified personnel.
A general cleaning operation must be performed on the island at least every three months, therefore the power supply
should be cut off and the unit should be completely emptied. Wait until the ice formed inside the cabinet has melted
completely, then clean them using protective gloves. Before starting-up the unit, check that the internal parts inside the
basin are completely dry. The manufacturer recommends that a general control is carried out once a year by a refrigerator
technician or by an expert.
12 – Emergency situations
Warning – If the island stops or does not start the operation:
-
Check for a power failure.
-
Check that the plug is fitted properly into the socket.
-
Make sure that any protection device (when fitted) upstream from the power socket has been switched on.
If the trouble is not due to any of the above points, empty the unit, place the product in a coldroom provided for product
maintenance and preservation, then call the nearest assistance centre.
Warning – If the unit does not cool sufficiently:
-
Check that the sliding covers have not been left open for a long time.
-
Check that the unit has been loaded correctly, if not, read Paragraph 7.
-
Check that the unit is not close to draughts or sources of heat (see Paragraph 4).
If the problem should persist when all the checks have been carried-out, call the nearest service centre.
Warning – In the event of a gas leak or a fire, cut off the power supply from the unit, do not go near the motor
compartment. Never use water to put out the flames, but only dry extinguishers.
13 – Accessories
The models LIBRA ST can, on request, be equipped with the following accessories:
-
Adhesive price rails
-
Wire base dividers
-
Adjustable base grids
-
Internal lighting
-

-
Steel bumper rail
The above-mentioned accessories should be available at the nearest retailer. The trolley-mounted base, the electric
defrosting and the anti-mist resistances should be fitted by the service staff.
14 – Technical assistance
If help is needed from the technical assistance staff and if mechanical, electrical components or compressors must be
replaced, the user should contact the retailer whom the unit was purchased from, requesting original spare parts.
15 - Dismantling and elimination of cabinet
For environmental reasons and in compliance with the regulations in your country, separate the parts of the cabinet for
disposal and/or recycling.
All the parts that make up the cabinet are made of materials that are not classifiable as urban waste except for the
metallic parts that are not classified as special waste in most countries. As regards the parts of the refrigeration circuit,
that is the refrigerating gas and lubricating oil, these should not be disposed of carelessly and can be recycled by
specialized centers.
The gas contained in foam polystyrene for thermal insulation of the cabinet is (CO
This product contains HFC, namely fluoridated gasses, a refrigerating gas with a high Global Warming Potential
(GWP) regulated by the Kyoto protocol.
Oscartielle equips its plug-in cabinets with the following types of refrigerating gasses:

This unit is hermetically sealed and the refrigerating gas load is under 3 kg.
For this reason it is not subject to the requisite of an installation booklet and periodic inspections for leakage of
the refrigerating gas (presidential Decree no. 147 of February 15th 2006, Art. 3 and 4).
16 – Manufacturer's declaration (no starting up)
The models described above are manufactured also to be assembled with other machinery to obtain a new machinery as
specified by directive 2006/42/CE. Therefore the manufacturer declares that it is not allowed to start up the machinery
until the machinery which it will be incorporated in, or which will become part of, is declared as complying with the
conditions of directive 2006/42/CE and national laws transposing the same directive, in other words until the machinery
which this declaration refers to, will make up a whole with the final machinery.
