Electrical Connection

• Connection to the mains is only allowed by skilled persons.
• Before connecting the fixture to the mains, assure that the­
specifications are corresponding.
• Electrical grounding has to be used in the whole installation!
ATTENTION!
Installation has to be approved by an authorized person before
first operation!
ATTENTION!
On the secondary cableing using XLR 4 pin cable the following
rules which you can find below have to be taken care!
• Avoid plugging with mains on load, means DPiX.1 Mk2 is
powered on. Power on DPiX.1 Mk2 after the installation of all
components is finished.
• Use only original cable or cable according to the suppliers spe­
cification which we can send on request.
• The max. cable length between DPiX.1 Mk2 and the first unit
should never be longer than:
DPiX.1 Mk2 – LPiX.40 Mk2 = 10 m
DPiX.1 Mk2 – BPiX.160 Mk2 = 20 m
DPiX.1 Mk2 – 2PiX.80 Mk2 = 20 m
DPiX.1 Mk2 – QPiX.144 Mk2 = 30 m
• The max. cable length between two units should never be
longer than:
LPiX.40 Mk2 – LPiX.40 Mk2 = 1 m
BPiX.160 Mk2 – BPiX.160 Mk2 = 1 m
2PiX.80 Mk2 – 2PiX.80 Mk2 = 1 m
QPiX.144 Mk2 – QPiX.144 Mk2 = 1 m
• The max. cable length between DPiX.1 Mk2 and the last unit
in chain should never be longer than:
DPiX.1 Mk2 – LPiX.40 Mk2 = 33 m
DPiX.1 Mk2 – BPiX.160 Mk2 = 25 m
DPiX.1 Mk2 – 2PiX.80 Mk2 = 25 m
DPiX.1 Mk2 – QPiX.144 Mk2 = 35 m

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Installer has to take care of all safety and machinery installati­
ons are approved by skilled persons at least once a year.
• Installer has to take care of all safety and machinery installa­
tions are approved by authorized persons at least every four
years during the acceptance inspection. Following points need
to receive special attention:
• All screws used for mounting the fixture or parts of it
need to be proof and must not show corrosion.
• Housing, suspension device and installation site (ceiling,
suspension, truss) must not show deformation.
• All power cords must not show any damage, aging (for
example porous wires) or sediments. Other, to the loca­
tion related and usage aligned regulations will be obser­
ved by the skilled person and safety defects will be fixed.
ATTENTION!
Make sure that the fixture is disconnected from mains during
all maintenance! It is important to unplug mains connector!
• The fixture must be regularly cleaned from dirt and dust. Only
use a wetted, lint­free cloth for cleaning the fixture. Never
use alcohol or any kind of solvent for cleaning.
• Inside the fixture there are no parts which need maintenance.
Maintenance & service must be done by authorized dealers
only.
• Only use original spare parts!
