7�7�2 Connecting electrical output signal indicator with cable
Please note: Subsequent mentions of descriptions and position numbers refer to
Chapter 3. Product overview / product description on page 10.

Make sure that the pneumatic actuation (Pos. 2) is in the initial position before screw-
ing in the accessories.
Please note: The initial position of the valve is reached when no pilot pressure is
applied to the valve. As a result, the pneumatic actuation is not actuated.
Î
Loosen the lock nut (Pos. 10) and unscrew the proximity switch (Pos. 9).
Î
Screw the locking nut (Pos. 7) with the actuation pin (Pos. 8) into the measuring port
'MA2'.
Tightening torque 30 Nm +10% (M28x1.5)
Î
Apply pilot pressure to the pneumatic actuation (Pos. 2).
Î
Carefully screw the proximity switch (Pos. 9) into the locking nut (Pos. 7) until the
sensor slightly touches the inside.
Attention: Do not screw the proximity switch in tightly to the stop. Doing so may
damage the proximity switch.
Î
Connect the cable of the proximity switch (Pos. 9) to your controller so that the
voltage supply is guaranteed.
Note: Observe the pin assignment of the proximity switch on Page 13.
Î Slowly unscrew the proximity switch (Pos. 9) from the locking nut (Pos. 7) until the
LED lights up.
Î Screw the proximity switch (Pos. 9) into the locking nut (Pos. 7) by half a turn.
Note: The LED of the proximity switch must not light up afterwards. If the LED still
lights up, start mounting the proximity switch (Pos. 9) from the beginning.
Î Tighten the lock nut (Pos. 10). Tightening torque 6 Nm +10% (M8x1)
Î Release the pilot pressure from the pneumatic actuation (Pos. 2).
Î Check the electrical output signal indicator for correct functioning:
- Apply pilot pressure to the pneumatic actuation (Pos. 2)
 the LED on the proximity switch (Pos. 9) turns off
- Release the pilot pressure from the pneumatic actuation (Pos. 2)
 the LED on the proximity switch (Pos. 9) lights up
Note: If the LED always lights up or does not light up at all, the output signal
indicator including proximity switch must be unscrewed and screwed in again as
described above.
