ADVICE ON IRONING
Read the care label on the garment before beginning to iron and make sure that the fabric is suitable to be steam ironed!
Before beginning ironing, the Antenna (16) can be fiŽed, a pracvcal system to hold the wire, makes movements easier and guarantees
excellent ironing always.
REFILLING
•
The tank must be filled before using the product. If the water is parvcularly (A) hard (>14°dH/>15.5°e/>25.2°f), it is advisable to mix
drink water with demineralized water in equal parts.
•
The tank may be filled in 2 ways:
PROCEDURE 1 appliance switched off and plug removed from socket.
- Unscrew the cap (22) and pour approximately 0.9 liters of water into the tank.
PROCEDURE 2 appliance in operavon.
- Unscrew the cap (22) and pour approximately 0.9 liters of water into the tank.
When filling by PROCEDURE 2, a•er having inserted the tank back into its seat, press the RESET buŽon to acvvate the boiler recharging
system and to turn the tank light off. When filling by PROCEDURE 1, boiler charging and turning off of the light is automavc (appliance
switched off). While ironing, the control unit may emit a sound. This is absolutely normal. It is the noise of the pump loading the water.
•
Put the cap back on and plug in the appliance.
•
Press switch (21). The warning light on the switch show that the board, the unit and iron are all on.
•
To avoid condensate being produced on the board, wait for at least 10 minutes before you start to iron.
•
Use both sucvon and blowing when steam ironing.
•
If you wish to use the sucvon funcvon, set the selector switch (20) to posivon (I) and press the steam buŽon (5). The fan will start automav-
cally and it will stop a•er 10 seconds from the release of the buŽon.
•
If you wish to use the blowing funcvon, set the selector switch (20) to posivon (II) and press the steam buŽon (5). The fan will start auto-
mavcally and it will stop a•er 10 seconds from the release of the buŽon.
•
Select the desired temperature by se›ng the thermostat knob (3). When the warning light (2) turns off the desired temperature has been
reached (during operavon the light will turn on and off convnuously; this is perfectly normal).
The colored secvon on the thermostat shows the range of use of steam.
•
It takes about 3 minutes for the unit to reach the ideal ironing pressure.
•
When the steam light (19) turns on the appliance is ready for use. When the light turns off, this again is perfectly normal. The light will keep
on turning on and off without affecvng ironing results.
•
When using the iron for the first vme, pass it a few vmes on a piece of cloth.
•
For steam press the steam buŽon (5). If you wish for convnuous steam emission, keep the buŽon pressed and slide the steam guide back-
wards (4).
•
To ensure always perfect ironing condivons, it is advisable to press the steam buŽon intermiŽently so that the iron will produce an ideal
level of steam but also have vme to dry the ironed fabric.
•
This appliance can generate steam even in vervcal posivon so that fabrics can be refreshed with steam.
•
If you want to adjust steam output instantly while ironing, turn the steam regulavon knob (17). By turning the knob rightwards the amount
of steam will increase, while turning it le•ards it be reduced.
•
If the „no water" light (18) turnes on, usually together with a stronger and constant buzzing from the unit, this means that it needs to be
refilled with water.
•
Ironing without water can damage the steam producvon device.
•
A fixed maintenance light indicates that the appliance boiler must be cleaned (see secvon CLEANING THE BOILER).
•
A blinking maintenance light indicates appliance malfuncvon and consequent stopping of the jet of steam. In these circumstances proceed
with extraordinary maintenance and therefore clean the boiler (see sector CLEANING THE BOILER). If the trouble persists, contact an author-
ised A•er-Sales Service Centre.
•
A•er ironing wait about ten minutes before switching off the unit (21).
•
Wait for the appliance to cool down.
•
Take the iron off the mat (23) and store in the compartment (25).
•
Close the cover unvl the catches click.
•
To close the ironing board pull the levers (10) upwards and at the same vme lower the board unvl it closes completely.
•
Before moving the board, make sure that the safety catch is in posivon.
