BIElMEIER JUICE EXtRaCtION tOP BHG 630
HOME-MaDE JUICES:
a SOURCE OF HEaltH aND WEllBEING
Consuming fluids is an important part of a healthy
balanced diet . But what exactly should we drink?
After a while, water and tea are simply not
enough to keep the taste-buds tingling . However,
commercially manufactured juices usually contain
refined sugar, flavourings and preservatives in
addition to the fruit or vegetable juice itself .
With the BIELMEIER juice extraction top BHG 630,
you can ensure that your ingredients are nothing
but natural and that your juices are only sweet
enough to be wholesome! You decide how the
juice tastes, what exactly goes in and how much
sugar it contains . Not only that, but your juice
will also keep for a long time even without pre-
servatives because, with the BHG 630 and your
preser ving cooker, juice is extracted using steam
at 100°C .
HOW tHE BHG 630
JUICE EXtRaCtION tOP WORKS
There are holes in the walls and the bottom of the
fruit basket (2) to allow the steam to penetrate
the basket freely from all sides .
This releases the juice from fruit, vegetables and
herbs, which flows through the holes in the fruit
basket (2) and is collected in the juice collector
(3) . Hot steam kills all germs and bacteria in the
fruit and juice .

BIELMEIER preserving cookers and all other
standard preserving cookers with a diameter

Important! Please ensure that your preserv-
ing cooker contains a sufficient amount of wa-
ter during the entire juice extraction process .
PREPaRING tHE FRUIt
Note that riper fruits are juicier and their juice is
more aromatic . Give the fruit a quick, thorough
wash . Any sugar required is to be layered on top
of the fruit in the fruit basket (2) before you start
juicing .
Do not add sugar if you want to extract fruit
juices to make jelly . Unripe fruit is most suit-
able for this purpose because it contains more
pectin (a natural gelling agent) .
However, if you plan to dilute the fruit juices
before consumption, you will need to add
more sugar .
You can use the following rule of thumb:
Add 100 – 150 g of sugar to 1 kg of sweet fruit .
Add 200 – 250 g of sugar to 1 kg of sour fruit .
PREPaRING tHE BOttlES
Clean the bottles thoroughly and rinse in clear,
hot water . You can also pre-heat the bottles be-
fore filling them by placing them in hot water or
in your oven at 75°C .
The stoppers or rubber caps you will be using
must be heated to boiling and placed in clear
water until the bottles are ready to be sealed .
