Before first Use
Remove the hedge trimmer and the accessory from the packaging. Dispose off
packaging materials out of reach of small children. There is risk of suffocation!
The electronics protects the battery from over-charging, over-heating and total
discharge. There is no loss of charge. The battery is characterised by low self-
discharge. A fully charged battery is always ready for use, even if you do not use
it for months.
Charging the Battery
Charge the battery before first use.
In contrast to NiCd batteries the capacity of lithium-ion batteries does not
decrease but remains constantly until the electronics interrupts discharging. The
hedge trimmer will stop abruptly, if the charging level falls below a certain value.
The quick charging station can be operated on the countertop or can be mounted
on the wall by using the hanging holes at the rear side of the charging station.
Please take care that the charging station is mounted in the vicinity of a power
mains socket.
Regardless of the charging condition, the battery can be charged at any time
without damaging the cells.
1. Connect the power cord of the charger with a wall socket.
The charging indicator light (9) lights up. Slide the battery
with the terminals into the charging station as far as it will
go. The charging indicator light (10) starts flashing.
After charging the battery for approx. 1 hour, the charging
indicator light turns on continuously.
2. Remove the battery from the charging station and unplug
the power cord from the wall socket.
