Before first Use

Remove the hedge trimmer and the accessory for the packaging. Dispose off
packaging materials out of reach of small children. There is risk of suffocation!

Assembling and Operating

For optimal transport the hedge trimmer is supplied only partly assembled. Please
assemble the unit as follows:
1. Insert the hand protection (2) on the motor housing and mount the hand
protection with the included tapping screws.
2. Form a loop in the extension cord and thread the extension cord
through the slot in the handle. Hook the cord over the moulded
cable run (5).
5. Connect the plug of the hedge trimmer with the extension cord and a wall
socket.
6. Remove the blade protection.
7. Press the ON/OFF switch (7) either on the right or on the left side of the
handle in order to switch on the hedge trimmer. Firmly hold with one hand the
upper handle and with the other hand the bottom handle.
Make sure to keep proper footing while operating the trimmer.
Operating
3. Adjust the desired angle of the
blades with the release buttons
(3). Press both buttons inwards
and move the handle (4) up or
down.
4. Loose the buttons in order to lock
the blades to the desired stop. If
necessary, ask a third party to
assist you. The hedge trimmer is
provided with 6 detents and each
detent has an angle setting of
22.5°.
