• Picture format: Here you can match the output of the
receiver to the aspect ratio of your playback unit.
o 4:3: Select this option if using a 4:3 TV set for
playback. You will see the full image of the film. To
do so, it is compressed and black strips will appear
above and below the film.
o 16:9: Select this option, if you use a wide screen
TV to playback pictures. In doing so, make sure that
programs which have been recorded with a 4:3
aspect ratio, are shown in 4:3. The full area of the
wide screen TV therefore is not used..
o Auto: The optimum aspect ratio is automatically
set if supported by the playback device.
• Scart output: With this option, you can define the sig-
nal format transmitted to your playback unit. Selecting
the correct signal format depends on the connection
used and the playback unit (please refer to the user
manual of the playback unit).
Audio Settings
• L/R Mode: Normally sound is transmitted as stereo
output. You have the option here of selecting stereo
output instead of mono output.
o Stereo: Sound is transmitted as Stereo output.
o Left: Sound is transmitted as Mono output. In
doing so, the signal of the "left" stereo channel is
carried to all speakers.
o Right: Sound is transmitted as Mono output. In
doing so, the signal of the "right" stereo channel is
carried to all speakers.
NOTE:
By pressing the AUDIO button, you can also select
the sound output.
• SPDIF: Here the digital audio output settings are
defined.
o PCM: A digital audio signal, which is converted to a
2-channel signal, is transmitted. Use this settings if
the amplifier is a stereo two-channel amplifier.
o RAW: A digital audio signal is transmitted. Use this
setting if the amplifier is not a stereo two-channel
amplifier.
NOTE:
HDMI output is also changed.
Installation
• Manual search: To search for a specific channel, select
the manual program search.
• Automatic search: Starts the automatic program
search.
Channel Manager
Here you can manage TV and radio channels.
NOTE:
Radio channels are not available in all broadcast areas.
Further information can be obtained from digital service
providers and specialist dealers.
In the channel manager, you can add, block, move and
delete the channels in your Favourites list.
Set Favourites (Favorite)
To be able to select your favourite channels more easily,
you can organise them into three favourites lists.
• By repeatedly pressing the "red" button, you can
switch between the Favourites lists.
• Using the PROG+/PROG- buttons, select the channel
you want to add to the Favourites list.
• Confirm your selection with OK. The Heart symbol ap-
pears behind the channel.
• Press EXIT, after you have highlighted all required
channels as favourites.
• Select "Yes" when prompted and confirm with OK.
The channels are now transferred to the Favourites list.
NOTE:
It is not possible to change the order of the channels
after the process has been completed.
Block Channels (Lock)
You can block channels which cannot then be accessed
without entering the password.
• Press the "green" button. LOCK CHANNEL appears
above the list.
• Using the PROG+/PROG- buttons, select the channel
which you want to block.
• Confirm your selection with OK. The Padlock symbol
appears behind the channel.
• Press EXIT, after all required channels have been
blocked.
• Select "Yes" when prompted and confirm with OK.
Move Channels (Move)
You can re-organise the channels into an individual
sequence.
• Press the "yellow" button. MOVE INDEX appears
above the list.
• Using the PROG+/PROG- buttons, select the channel
which you want to move.
• Confirm your selection with OK. The Sort symbol ap-
pears behind the channel.
• Using the PROG+/PROG- buttons, select the channel
position to which you want to move the highlighted
channels.
