Foreword
This user manual serves as a guide to using the Digital
Receiver DVB-T/HD 4545, known as the "receiver",
• correctly,
• safely and
• to get the best possible performance from the receiver
The manual assumes that the users of the receiver have
some basic knowledge of how to operate consumer elec-
tronic devices.
Anyone who
• assembles,
• connects,
• operates,
• cleans or
• disposes of,
this receiver must read the full contents of this user
manual. Always keep this manual close by the receiver. If
you pass on the receiver to a third party, also pass on the
user manual.

Safety Instructions

Before using the receiver, read the safety instructions
carefully. Take note of all warnings and advice on the
receiver and in the user manual.
Electrical connection
• To avoid risk of fire and risk of electric shock, do not
expose the receiver to rain or other moisture.
• Due to the risk of electric shock, the housing should
only be opened by a qualified specialist.
• Only connect the receiver to a properly installed
110–240 V, 50/60 Hz mains socket.
• The total power consumption on the antenna port "ANT
IN" may not exceed 100mA.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if
the receiver is not in use for long periods. Hold the
plug when disconnecting.
• Should foreign objects or moisture get into the
receiver, immediately disconnect the mains plug from
the socket. Have the receiver checked by qualified
specialists before using the receiver again, failure to do
so may result in a risk of electric shock.
• Do not kink or crush the mains cable.
• Do not touch the mains cable with wet hands. Failure
to follow this instruction may result in a risk of electric
shock.
• If the mains cable is damaged, you must have the receiver
repaired by specialist personnel before you use it again.
Failure to do so may result in a risk of electric shock.
• Maintenance work may only be carried out by a quali-
fied specialist. Failure to do so may put you and others
at risk.
• In the event of a fault, disconnect the receiver from
the power source.
• The mains plug must be easily accessible in order that
the receiver can be disconnected easily and quickly
from the mains in the event of an emergency.
• Avoid exposing the receiver to dripping or splashing
water. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as
e.g. vases on or above the receiver.
The correct location
• Place the receiver on a fixed, level base.
• Avoid placing close to:
- heat sources, such as e.g. radiators,
- naked flames, such as e.g. candles,
- appliances with a powerful magnetic field, such as
e.g. speakers.
• Avoid direct sunlight and places with a lot of dust or a
high level of humidity.
• Avoid vibrations to the receiver.
• Never cover the ventilation slots. Ensure adequate
ventilation.
• Do not place heavy objects on the receiver.
• If you move the receiver from a cold to a warm envi-
ronment, condensation may form inside the receiver.
In this case, wait two to three hours before using the
receiver.
• Lay the mains cable and the antenna cable in such a
way that no one can step on it or trip over it.
Battery Instructions
WARNING:
• Do not expose batteries to intense heat or direct
sunlight. Never try to burn the batteries. Risk of
explosion!
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children. They
must not be used as a toy.
• Do not cut open the batteries.
• Avoid contact with metallic objects. (Rings, nails,
screws etc.) Risk of short circuit!
• A short circuit may rapidly heat or even ignite bat-
teries. This may cause burns.
• For your safety, the battery poles should be covered
with adhesive strips during transportation.
• If a battery leaks, do not rub the fluid into the eyes
or mucus membrane. If touched, wash hands, flush
eyes with clear water and seek medical advice if
symptoms persist.
CAUTION:
• Do not dispose of batteries with domestic waste.
Please take used batteries to the relevant collection
point or to a dealer.
• Leaking batteries may damage the remote control. If
the receiver is not used for long periods, remove the
batteries from the remote.
