2. About aromatic applications
By warming aromatic medicinal herbs, the essential oils within are emitted into the air as va-
pours that can be inhaled.
2.1 Cold insert
Contents of the "cold" herb mixture: 1 g aniseed, 1 g thyme, 2 g peppermint.
The essential oils produced by these herbs are well-known to help clear the airways and redu-
ce irritation of the throat.
2.2 Relaxation insert
Contents of the "relaxation" herb mixture: 2 g lavender, 1 g lemon balm, 1 g melissa
The essential oils produced by these herbs are well-known to have a relaxing effect.

3. Getting to know your instrument

3.1 Aloe vera cover
The removable textile cover of the heating pad has been treated with extract of aloe vera. As a
result the textile cover is very kind to the skin and pleasantly soft.
The textile cover is machine-washable.
However, please note that the skin-friendly properties of the textile cover wash out after a
number of wash cycles. A replacement textile cover can be ordered from the customer service
department using item number 140.834.
3.2 Herb inserts
The heating pad comes complete with 2 different herb inserts. The relaxation insert and the
cold insert.
Place one of the two inserts into the heating pad cover depending on the desired effect. Place
the heating pad on the body, in a position that enables the essential vapours to be inhaled. If
used daily, the inserts must be changed after approx. 1 month, because the essential oils will
then have almost entirely evaporated. New inserts are available in shops.
The aromatic heating pad is suitable only for personal use, not for medical or commercial
purposes.
4. Proper Use
This heating pad is designed for warming the human body. It allows you to apply tar geted
warmth. Heat promotes the circulation and relaxes the muscles. This heating pad is not in-
tended for use in hospitals or for commercial applications. In particular, it may not be used on
infants, small children, persons insensitive to heat, helpless persons or animals.
Our heating pads made of breathable microfleece are very adaptable and agreeable to the
skin. They can also be used without their fabric cover. The detachable switch allows the pad to
be cleaned in the washing machine (see cleaning instructions).
