6.2 Before use
• Connect the hydraulic hose. Refer to chapter 5.2.
6.3 During use
For cutting cables grease the blades with Molykote (Part number 100.581.081 (094)). This greatly
extends its service life.
WARNING
Ensure that no mechanical stress is on the object to be cut.
CAUTION
Ensure that the material to be cut is always at the centre of the blades and only then cut the
material.
Refer to Fig. 10.
• Put the material to cut in the centre of the cutting blades.
• Set the pump in the "operation" position. The plunger extends and the mini cutter starts to cut.
• Set the pump to the "neutral" position. The plunger retracts (spring return).

After use

6.4.1 Shut down and disconnect
• Wait until the blades return to their original home position.
• Disconnect the hydraulic hose. Refer to chapter 5.3.
6.4.2 Inspection
• Check the cutter for completeness, oil leaks and damage. Do not use the cutter if it leaks or is
damaged and contact the Holmatro dealer.
6.4.3 Cleaning and storage
• Clean the equipment and the used accessories before storing them.
• Clean the coupler(s) and make sure the dust caps are mounted.
• Dry the equipment if it was used in wet conditions. Rub a light layer of WD-40 preservative oil on the
steel parts.
• Regularly apply grease to the guide.
• Store the equipment in a dry and well-ventilated area.
7 Troubleshooting
7.1 General
Consult the Holmatro dealer if the listed solutions do not give the desired result, or in case of other
problems. For malfunctions or repair, always specify the model and serial number of the equipment.
7.2 The couplers do not connect or disconnect

The couplers are dirty on the front.
