Drinking bowls with auxiliary pipe heating (222050 and 222055)
When shipped, the heating cable is fitted so that it can be used for the top connection. If the bottom connection
is required, pull the end of the heating cable out of the feed-through (in the area of the top connection) and
route it to the bottom. Seal the now open feed-through at the top with the enclosed sealing plug.
Proceed as follows:
1. Check the heating cable for damage.
2. Route the heating cable along the pipe towards the power supply. As you do so, note the following instructions:
- The heating cable can be routed in a spiral around or straight along the water supply line.
- Heatable length of the water supply line: min. 1 m (spiral routing), max. 2 m (straight routing). The remaining
30 cm of the heating cable are not heated.
- Route the cables so that they are out of the reach of animals.
- Cable ends (at plugs or junction boxes) must be easily accessible for repair and maintenance work.
- The heating cable must not overlap.
3. Secure the heating cable to the water supply line with aluminium adhesive tape and insulate. This achieves a
better heating result.
4. Attach insulation.
5. Route the connecting cable outside the insulation.
6. Attach gnaw protection.
7. Connect the heating cable to the power supply.
Device type 222050: 230 V
Device type 222055: 24 V (transformer required, see accessories)
