Device Overview; When Using For First Time - Superior FS-40M Bedienungsanleitung

• Never use the device on uneven surfaces and avoid tilting the device during use (e.g. on stairs).
• Before cleaning, switch off and unplug the device.
• Children are unaware of the dangers that arise when handling electric devices. Keep device away
from children. Be especially careful when using the device in the vicinity of children!
• Keep packaging material, such as plastic bottles and expanded polystyrene pieces out of the reach
of children. Risk of choking!
• Never use the device when it has been damaged, has fallen off or fails to work perfectly.
• Check the device, power cord and mains plug regularly for any visual damage. If any damage has
been detected, do not use the device under any circumstances. Do not attempt to repair the device
yourself.
• Repair work must only be carried out by qualified and specialized staff.
• Only use the device for the intended use.
• The device is only for use in private households and not designed for commercial use.

WHEN USING FOR FIRST TIME

• Take all the device components out of the packaging and remove all packaging material and
enclosures.
• Insert the stands into the opening on the upper curve of the metal foot then position the black
plastic balance underneath with the curved part opposite and upwards. Position the washer
downwards, again with the curved section facing upwards.
• Now insert the angle coil screw from underneath into the opening of the washer and screw the
stand and foot together. Be careful when doing so to ensure the angle coil screw does not become
jammed and is securely in place.
• Now loosen screws / wheels 6, 7, 8 and 9 (see device overview) of the U-attachment on the
underside of the motor.
• Place the U-attachment on the stand.
CAUTION: On the stand, there are 2 bore holes situated to one side and 1 to another. The side of
the U-attachment with the square-shaped hole must be over the side of the stand which has only 1
bore hole. Be careful when doing so to ensure the bore holes of the stand are aligned with those of
the U-attachment and congruent with each other.
• Firstly, place the coil screw with square retainer through the square-shaped hole of the U-
attachment. Be careful to ensure that the coil of the screw visibly protrudes from the other side of
the U-attachment when doing so.
• Now screw the adjustment retaining screw above the existing coil screw into place.
• Now screw wheel nuts onto the coil screws (underneath the adjustment retaining screw) and secure
them in place. This will secure the coil screw in place. CAUTION: The square retainer of the coil
screw must be completely inserted into the square-shaped hole of the U-attachment.
• Now securely screw the tilt angle adjustment screw in place.
• Remove the rubber protection from the motor spindle.
• Unscrew the black plastic retaining ring from the motor pindle and remove the same.
• Now place the rear safety guard with the grille facing up onto the motor spindle and over the
screw winding of the previously removed retainer ring.
• Reposition the retainer ring onto the spindle and secure it in place.
