2 Installation
2.1 Mounting the power plug
WARNING! Attaching the power plug may only be done by qualified personal.
L = Brown
E = Yellow/Green
N = Blue
2.2 Interlock and emergency stop
For laser safety each Tweety moving head projector has an interlock
connector, which cuts of the power supply of the laser. In order to use
this function you will need an external emergency stop button and/or key
switch, which can be ordered separately. The cable length to the interlock
can be up to 100m. As long as the interlock connector is open, no laser
output is possible.
For testing purposes you will find a service plug supplied with the
projector. With this plug you can temporarily enable laser output while
testing. Do not use for normal operation.
2.3 Rigging
WARNING! Always keep a distance of 1m to the wall or to inflammable
objects. Always keep the minimum distances for laser safety.
The Tweety can be used standing upright on the floor or hanging upside
down. When mounted hanging, make sure to use right sized clamps and fit
them securely. The projector can be mounted sideways, but this reduces the
lifetime of the motors. When mounted hanging, always use a safety wire
attached to the base.

2.4 DMX wiring

For DMX signal use shielded twisted pair cables. We suggest DMX cables,
standard signal lines can also be used. Standard 3 pin XLR connectors are
used.
Pin-out:
Pin 1: ground (shield)
Pin 2: DMX – (blue)
Pin 3: DMX + (red)
The DMX signals are internally bridged, so that the Tweety can be chained
into existing DMX environment. When connecting to 5 pin DMX lines pins 4
and 5 are not connected. Always check for the correct polarity of the DMX
signals, otherwise the Tweety will not function correctly.
2.5 Connecting mains
When connected to DMX, Tweety can be connected to the mains supply. Make
sure that at least 300VA power are available.
Connect mains only when the Tweety is completely assembled. When connecting
an open device to mains you risk a deadly electrical shock. The device is
for indoor use only.
If in doubt consult a technician. The manufacturer shall not be held liable
for any damage when the device is improperly connected or installed, or not
operated according to this manual.
