3.4 Q&A
Before contacting your dealer, please read the following frequently asked
questions, maybe we already have the clue to your problem.
Q: Why does the Tweety 50 have a minimum power of 30mW only?
A: To assign the correct laser class to the projector, the maximum possible
output power is required. As laser's power usually scatters towards higher
values - over 40mW are possible - we indicate the possible maximum. Note:
the guaranteed output power is the minimum. There is no title for the
maximum power.
Q: I have four Tweeties, one is brighter than the others. Are the other
three damaged?
A: Most likely not. The brighter one may have a slightly higher power, as
described above, maybe 45mW instead of the usual 35mW. This is not an error
and cannot be changed. These are normal tolerances, possibly due to
different temperature coefficients of the laser cristals. A 150 mW laser,
for example, can have up to 200mW, depending on the ambient temperature.
Q: The output jitters while the head is moving.
A: The position sensors inside the scanning units require a high precision.
Unfortunately moving the head mechanically "shakes" these sensors, so that
the accuracy is reduced. This is no an error, but a technical limitation.
Q: I want to use two projectors in parallel, but one with mirrored head
rotation.
A: select "In_P" from "In"-mode, see section 3.2
Q: Why aren't there more texts and graphics?
A: The Tweety is designed as a beam- (atmospheric-) lasershow projector. We
included a few graphics and texts, because we were often asked for it by
our customers. If you want to do professional graphic shows, you should
switch to the Sniper and Mystic series laser projectors.
