• Determine the appropriate vertical angle for the installation
using the following chart:
Mounting Height
Wide Angle Mirror
2.0 m
2.3 m
2.6 m
• Slide the mirror forward or backward until the appropriate
angle hash marks are in-line with the marks on each side of
the frame.
NOTE: Excessive handling of the mirror surface may lead to
performance degradation.

Terminal Descriptions
• 10 (-) & 11 (+): Input Power. Use no smaller than 0.8-mm wire
pair.
• 7 & 8: Form "A" relay contacts normally closed (open on
alarm) rated at 30 V-/100 mA. Do not use with capacitive or
inductive loads.
• 6 & 9: Spare
• 4 & 5: Tamper Contact normally closed (open when cover
opens), rated 28 V-/125 mA.
NOTE: Do not coil excess wire inside the enclosure and seal
the wire entrance with the plug provided.

Control Inputs/Outputs
Shield
S/U
WT
NOTE: Use shielded cable.
Terminal Descriptions
• Shield: Connection for ground wire from shielded cable.
• S/U: Used either as an electronic alarm output or as an alarm
memory control input for arming (set)/disarming (unset).
• Open control inputs are HIGH (internal pull-up). For actuation
with HIGH active, a resistor (type 2 kΩ max.; 47 kΩ/detector)
must be switched to 0 V.
• When used as an electronic alarm output in VdS systems,
only one detector may be connected per detector group and
Switch DIP3 (see Programming) must be set OFF (otherwise
the LED cannot be activated).
• WT: Used for the Walk Test Remote Control. When unused,
Switch DIP1 (see Programming) must be set OFF.

Set Program Jumper
For alarm memory input from the control panel,
S/U
AL
place the jumper over the upper pins.
For solid state open collector output, place the
S/U
AL
jumper over the lower pins.

Adjust Sensitivity
• Set the sensitivity to one of the following settings using Switch
DIP2 (see Programming):
Standard: The recommended setting for maximum false
alarm immunity. Tolerates environmental extremes on this
setting. Standard Sensitivity is not recommended for Curtain
patterns. The detector is shipped in Standard Sensitivity
mode.
Intermediate: The recommended setting for any location
where an intruder is expected to cover only a small portion of
the protected area or when quick catch performance is
desired. Tolerates normal environments on this setting. This
setting will improve intruder catch performance.
