Installing your router

IMPORTANT: Before installing the router, ensure that Internet connec-
tion is availa�le
1. Position your wireless router.
For the optimal �ireless transmission �et�een the �ireless router and con-
nected �ireless devices, ensure that you:
• Place the �ireless router in a centrali�ed area for a maximum �ireless coverage
for the net�ork devices.
• Keep the �ireless router a�ay from metal o�structions and a�ay from direct
sunlight.
• Keep the �ireless router a�ay from 802.11g or 20M�� only Wi-Fi devices,
2.4G�� computer peripherals, Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, transformers,
heavy-duty motors, fluorescent lights, micro�ave ovens, refrigerators, and other
industrial equipment to prevent signal interference or loss.
• To ensure the �est �ireless signal, orient the three detacha�le antennas as
sho�n in the dra�ing �elo�.
• Al�ays update to the latest firm�are. Visit the ASUS �e�site at
http://www.asus.com to get the latest firm�are updates.
