The printer motors run for 2 or 3 minutes when you first turn the power on.
The top line of the LCD display reads:
Followed by asterisks progressing across the
bottom line:
Chapter 2 Setting Up Your Printer
1 Make sure the power switch is
Off.
2 Connect the power cord to the
power connector at the back of
the printer.
3 Then insert the other end of the
power cord to a correctly rated
power outlet.
1 Press the power switch to the
<I> position to turn the power
on.
