Recommended use
The Outlast storage bench supports many outdoor uses.
Use it as point-of-play storage, or as a crawl-through unit
for toddlers. The Storage bench is perfect for teacher
seating near a sand pit. It can also be used in the sand pit
or messy area for a work or dramatic play surface. It is
very sturdy and stable.
The Outlast crate is intended as an outdoor, open-ended
plaything for children ages two and older as well as for
storage of toys and materials. Use crates on their own or
in combination with Outlast blocks, which are made to
modular dimensions. Crates can be stacked for storage.
WARNING
c This product is intended for use by children of immature judg-
ment, therefore supervision is required at all times.
c Do not stack Storage benches.
c When the crate is used on a shelf within reach of children
beware of overloading.
CAUTION
c Adults are responsible to prevent Storage benches from being
employed by children in unsafe combinations with other
components.
c Do not stack crates more than 3 high.
c Do not climb on stacked crates.
c The Outlast crate is part of an open-ended, large muscle play
system. Children can place these products in combination with
other objects to create an injury hazard.
c To prevent injury, caregivers and staff must familiarize
themselves with these materials before giving children access to
them.
Assembly
The Storage bench comes fully assembled. Two Outlast crates fit
inside a Storage bench.
All of our packaging is recyclable (cardboard and LDPE).
Please recycle in accordance with local guidelines.

Construction
The wooden components are manufactured from long lasting
acetylated wood and finished with a nontoxic stain. All edges and
corners are rounded for safety and ease of cleaning.
Stainless steel hardware is used throughout and all end grain is
protected by UV-resistant plastic guards formulated to ensure long
life in outdoor environments.
Maintenance
Outlast Storage benches and Crates can be left outside all year
around and do not require covered storage. Acetylated wood
weathers to a natural silver grey if left untreated outdoors. If you
prefer the original look, scrub with a detergent or disinfectant
solution. When dry, apply a tinted, nontoxic penetrating stain.
Refinishing stain is available from customer service.
Periodically inspect for splinters, broken or loose parts, and/or
malfunctions. Remove from service if any condition develops that
might make operation unsafe.
Cleaning
Mud and dirt can be removed with scrub brush and water. Over
time outdoors, surfaces may blacken with mildew. Remove with
detergent or a disinfectant solution such as Milton Sterilising Fluid.
