OmniAccess retractor blades are modifications of existing hand-held
Hohman, Z, rakes and PCL retractors. The strap attachment allows these
low profile OmniAccess blades to be attached to the frame by cinching the
strap into the notches in the frame arm. With one hand maintaining the
proper exposure, the other hand(s) insert the strap(s) into the frame arm
notch. Be sure the strap is secured completely into the rounded section of
the frame arm notch.

Triangulated attachment of the PCL retractor is recommended.

Two straps can be attached to the retractor blade to help stabilize the retractors
position in the wound. Triangulate the straps to ensure stable retraction. Once
the desired retractor position and exposure is obtained, insert the strap into
the notches on the frame arm.

Outstanding exposure can be achieved and maintained using the OmniAccess
Knee Retractor. The resulting freed hands of the assistant can participate in the
details of the procedure.
