Connecting the speakers:
Battery operation:
• Insert batteries into battery compartment
• Connect 3.5mm jack cable to the sound source (LCD-Monitor,
Notebook, CD, MP3 and PDA).
• Switch the speakers on (1), set the volume (2) as required and
enjoy.
Operation with mains adapter:
• Connect the supplied mains adapter to the terminal (5). Plug
the mains plug into a 220/230V socket.
• Connect the 3.5mm jack cable to the sound
source (LCD-Monitor, Notebook, CD, MP3 and PDA).
• Switch the speakers on (1), set the volume (2) as required and
enjoy.
Safety instructions:
Observe the safety instructions in the PC operating manual, etc.!
• Only transport the speaker in the original packaging or in other
suitable packaging that ensures protection against impact and
shocks.
• Condensation can occur if the device is transported from a
cold environment to the operating area.
Before operating the speakers, wait until they have reached
approximately the same temperature of the operating area
and are absolutely dry.
• Ensure that the local voltage is 230V; 50Hz.
• Ensure that the socket of the indoor installation is accessible.
• The on/off switch does not disconnect the voltage from the
speakers. To completely disconnect the voltage from the
speakers, the power plug must be unplugged.
• Only connect the speakers in dry rooms.
• Route the cables so that they do not present a source of
danger (danger of tripping) and are not damaged. When
connecting the speakers, observe the corresponding
instructions in this operating manual.
• Ensure that no objects (e.g. paper clips, etc.) or liquids enter
the speaker (electrical shock, short circuit).

• In emergencies (e.g. if the housing, controls or power cable
are damaged, if liquids or foreign objects enter the speakers)
immediately switch off the speakers and unplug the power
plug.
• Repair work may only be performed by authorized qualifi ed
staff.
• Switch off the speakers and unplug the power plug before
cleaning.
Clean the speaker housing surface using a dry cloth.
If large amounts of dirt have accumulated, use a moist, well
wrung out cloth that has been soaked in water with a mild
detergent.
