APPLICATION AREA

The heater fan is intended to be permanently mounted on a wall. VF 9F2 and VF 15F2 can be installed in dry, damp or wet
areas, such as workshops, warehouses and vehicle washes (not in areas where is a risk of fire or explosion).
VFBR 9F2 is approved for installation in flammable (not potentially explosive) areas such as textile and wood processing
industries and barns.

INSTALLATION
MOUNTING
The heater fan must be mounted on a wall using the wall
bracket supplied with the fan.
The angle of the heater fan can be adjusted by changing the
position of the upper mounting holes in the fan.
A switch box must be installed with the heater fan to allow
selection of the desired operating mode. Up to six fans can
be connected in series to the same control unit (each fan
must have its own electrical supply).

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

The heater fan and switch box for the fan must be wired via
a fixed isolating switch. A residual current device (RCD) must
always be installed. At the rear of the heater fan are sealing
grommets for incoming and outgoing cables. It is important
that no holes are made in the grommets that are unused.
A 3-phase 400V supply is required for heating. A single-phase
230V supply is required for control.
An external switch box (or thermostat) must be connected
to the fan to allow selection of the desired operating
mode.
A wiring diagram is provided inside the cover of the heater fan.
The heater fan is controlled by an external switch box
(accessory, connected using 7- or 8-core cable). This controls
the fan speed and heat output in a variety of combinations,
and allows the fan motor to run continuously or be controlled
by the thermostat.
The operating range of the thermostat is +5°C – +35°C.
Alternatively the heater fan can simply be controlled by a
thermostat box (accessory, connected using 3-core cable).
The operating range of the thermostat is +5°C – +35°C. If it is
simply controlled by a thermostat box the fan speed and heater
output must be selected using jumpers inside the heater fan
(see wiring diagram).
