Der Viessmann SpeedBus ermöglicht den kom-
fortablen Anschluss mit automatischer Anmeldung
an den Commander.
Die interne Software des Kopplers ist über den
SpeedBus und den Commander updatefähig, so
dass Sie diese stets auf einem aktuellen Stand
halten können.
Hinweis: Der Koppler ist nicht dazu ge-
dacht, den Commander mit einer Zentra-
le zu verbinden, die in Zusammenhang mit
einem PC einen Automatikbetrieb abarbei-
tet. Dies ist auch nicht erforderlich, da der
Commander die Funktionen einer PC-Steu-
erung im Prinzip übernehmen kann.
Hinweis: Einbahnstraße! Der Koppler
kann keine Informationen an die sendende
Zentrale zurückgeben. Dies ist über das
Gleisformat nicht möglich.
3. Funktionen
Der Koppler legt eine Liste für die Lokomotiven
und eine weitere für die Schaltbefehle an. Die Li-
ste der Fahrbefehle überträgt der Koppler über
den SpeedBus (LSB) nach dem Erstellen und an-
schließend bei jeder Änderung eines Befehls er-
neut an den Commander. Eine permanente Über-
tragung findet nicht statt. Zusätzlich kann der Com-
mander die Informationen des Kopplers auch durch
ein Anforderungskommando bei diesem abfragen.
Schaltbefehle werden so lange übertragen, wie
der Schaltbefehl anliegt. Eine permanente Über-
tragung findet nicht statt.
Die Digitalformate Mot. und DCC können „quasi
gleichzeitig" empfangen werden. Deshalb muss
der Koppler nicht auf ein Digitalformat hin konfigu-
riert werden.
Der Commander sperrt keine Lokadressen. So
kann über den Koppler jederzeit auf jede Lok auf
dem Commander zugegriffen werden. Die letz-
te Steuerinformation ist dadurch immer gültig –
gleichgültig ob sie vom Commander oder über
den Koppler von einer anderen Zentrale kommt.
Hinweis: Adressen dürfen – unabhängig
vom Datenformat – nur einmal vergeben
werden. Eine Lok mit der Adresse ‚3' im
Motorola-Format und gleichzeitig eine Lok
mit der Adresse ‚3' im DCC-Format sind
nicht zulässig.
Auf beiden Zentralen müssen die Loks
im gleichen Digitalformat und mit glei-
cher Fahrstufenzahl angelegt sein.

The firmware of the Coupler can be updated via
SpeedBus and Commander.
Notice: It is not intended to use the Cou-
pler to connect a PC-controlled station to
the Commander, which controls automatic
operation.
This is not needed because the Command-
er includes the functions of a PC-control.
Notice: One-Way-Street! The Coupler can-
not send information back to the "old" com-
mand station. The track format doesn't al-
low to send feedback.
3. Functions
The Coupler sets up two internal lists for the lo-
comotives and the switch orders. The list with the
locomotion orders will be transmitted to the
Commander after setting it up and then every
time a new order is written into the list. The list
is not permanently transmitted. Additionally the
Commander can send a request command to the
Coupler.
Switching orders will be transmitted by the Coup-
ler as long as the switching order is active. The list
is not permanently transmitted.
The Coupler can receive and send orders in Mo-
torola and DCC format simultaneously. Therefore
it is not needed to configure the Coupler to a
digital format.
The Commander doesn't block locomotion addres-
ses. Via the Coupler, you can address everytime
each locomotion. Therefore the last loco order is
valid, no matter if it comes from the Coupler or the
Commander.
Notice: Addresses must only be used once
– no matter in which digital format they are
used. A loco with the address "3" in mo-
torola format and at the same time a loco
with the address "3" in DCC format are not
allowed.
On both digital command stations the
locos must have the same digital format
and the same number of speed steps.
