4. FUNCTION OF THE SOLAR PANEL

The pump and the LED light are controlled by the „POWER" and „MODE" switches. The „POWER"
switch turns the pump „ON" or „OFF". The „MODE" switch controls the LED light when the pump is run-
ning.
4.1 „POWER" (ON)
z Switch „POWER" (B, see illustration) is set to
„ON". The pump delivers water when the battery
is charged or when there is sufficient solar
energy. The pump can be switched on and off
with the „POWER" button. This is the normal
mode.
z When there is sufficient sunshine, the battery is
charged and the pump works. In weak sunlight
the battery supplies the energy.
z The charging time of the battery depends on the
light intensity of the sun.
z When the sun is weak and the battery voltage is
low, the pump and the LED light stop. When the
battery is recharged to a certain point, the pump
automatically starts in normal mode.
z Battery can be fully charged within about 4-5
hours if the light intensity is strong enough.
4.2 „POWER" (OFF)
z The pump and the LED light are switched off.
4.3 „MODE"
z Switch „MODE" (A, see illustration): In normal mode the pump runs during the day and at night. The
LED light is only on at night.
z If the LED light should also light during the day, the „MODE" switch must be pressed.
z If the pump is switched off, the LED light cannot light up.
