Quick Tips
Here are some tips to get through the assembly or usage of the QuickJack Portable Car lift.
BLEEDING THE SYSTEM
There are several procedures to bleed the QuickJack
system, we suggest to follow this procedure:
Place the lift blocks(1) under the frames, remove the
bleeder screws*(2) and press and hold the ''up'' button
until clean oil comes out the bleeder holes. Place the
bleeder screws back and tighten.
*The bleeder screws are hex-bolt 3/16 size. Torx 30 will
also fi t, or grab them on the outside with a plier.
PRIMING THE PUMP
Priming the pump pushes Hydraulic Fluid into the system. On rare occasions, there may not be enough Hydraulic
Fluid in the system for the pump to produce force. Priming the pump resolves this issue.
To prime the pump:
1. On the Power Unit, remove the relief valve, then place a rag over the cavity and hold it there.
2. Press Up on the Pendant Control for a few seconds (until you feel pressure on the rag).
3. Reinstall the relief valve.
The pump should now have enough Hydraulic Fluid to operate normally.
TIP: Search on YouTube for ''How to Prime Your QuickJack Power Unit'' to see the offi cial procedure.
DISCONNECT THE HOSES
If you want to disconnect the hoses once the QuickJack is lifted follow this procedure:
Once the QuickJack is lowered into the safety locks, press and hold the downbutton an extra 5 seconds. This
needs to be done to make sure all hydraulic pressure has left the system. It is now safe to disconnect the hoses.
PRESSURE BEHIND THE FITTINGS
If you happen to disconnect the quick-fi ttings before fully lowering the QuickJack there will be hydraulic pressure
behind the fi ttings. therefore you will not be able to re-connect the fi ttings. To resolve this, hold the ''down'' button
and re-connect the fi ttings at the same time.
THE AIR BOTTLES
The Air bottles on the QuickJack hydraulic cylinders needs to be fi lled with 3.5 Bar / 50 PSI air pressure. New
hydraulic rams tend to be a little sticky at fi rst: They work better as they get worn in. For this reason, the air
cylinder is particularly helpful for the fi rst 10 to 20 times you use QuickJack. Once the cylinders are worn in, they
will go up and down without help from the air bottle.
MAINTENANCE
All maintenance tasks can be performed by the owner/operator of the QuickJack. QuickJack recommends using
white lithium grease on the lubrication points. It is perfectly fi ne to get QuickJack covered in soap and water
during a car wash. Do not get the power unit wet. We also suggest you dry off the frames after you're done using
them. Quickjack requires more frequent maintenance and lubrication if QuickJack is used to lift your vehicle
during a wet cleaning.
