Talk2M uses the OpenVPN protocol with SSL/TLS key for establishing the VPN connection.
Talk2M uses port 80 for the internet connection.
Talk2M uses port 443 (HTTPS) and 1194 (UDP) for the VPN connection. The HTTPS port has
to be reachable to any time from the company LAN in direction to the internet. The UDP port
can also be set optional. The public IP address of the Talk2M server is listed below.
Talk2M works on the client-server-client principle. At this principle the eWON router and the
software eCatcher at the PC are establishing the connection automatically to the Talk2M
server.
eWON and eCatcher are able to establish the connection via a proxy server. Therefore the
TCP protocol is used for (Port 443).
The VPN connection ends at the LAN ports of the eWON router.
Hint:
Whether a Talk2M connection is feasible in principle can be checked using the tool
Talk2MConnectionChecker.exe. You can get it from www.wachendorff.de/wp.
This tool checks the ports and the connection to the internet.
