ATTENTION! Heating cable (RED) cannot be shortened, crossed or touch itself.
• Measure the resistance of heating cable. Its value must correspond to the one indicated
on the label. The data of measurement should be put into warranty coupon which is on
the last page of instruction.
• Draw the layout of laid heating cable and indicate the place of joints (i.e. 30 cm from the
one wall, 50 cm from another).
• Pour the cable with self-levelling compound or cover with tile glue.
• Measure once more the resistance of heating cable and its insulation. The measured
value should correspond to the fi rst measurement's value. This value should be put into
warranty coupon.
• Apply the tile glue and lay the tiles or let the self-levelling compound to harden and then
apply any fl ooring.
WARNING! Always mount sensors in protective pipes to enable easy change of them.
7. INsTALLATION OF FROsT PROTECTION sYsTEm IN sTAIRCAsEs
Ice and snow melting system can be used as eff ective help against icy and slippery stairs.
We recommend using thermo insulation in stairs, especially if they are open from bottom and
fast freezing. And opposite, in monolithic stairs thermo insulation is not necessary.
Installed power is chosen 250-300 W/m
in one stair (Pic. 8).
As the cable is not installed into vertical side of stair, the fi rst line of cable is laid as near as
possible to the edge of stair for more eff ective melting.
• Before installation of heating cables clean stairs from sharp things because they can
damage the cables.
• Install cable directly into concrete and cover it with 1-2 cm of concrete or install directly
into layer of tile glue.
