Air4 Home-Air4 Home PRO
When the device is first switched on or reset (see the chapter 11), the device will prompt the user to choose
an 8-digit PIN via the app. The user can enter the PIN of their choice and use this PIN to access the Air4 Home
(Air4 Home Pro) administrator functions.
The PIN must therefore be safely stored by the owner of the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro), as it may
be required if for example, the user changes the smartphone that had previously been used to log in
as an administrator.
The "Air4 Home" app provides the user with the option to securely save the PIN on the Silca Server, by simply
providing a recovery email address.
In the event that the PIN is no longer available or recoverable, the user must reset the device; this will erase
all the defined settings, such as the saved remote controls and authorised users.
ATTENTION: The device reset allows the user to reset the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) to its factory
settings, which in turn deletes all the data.
PROCEDURE:
- Access the battery compartment by loosening the two screws on the internal shell (Fig./Abb.7)
- Hold down the Reset key (Fig./Abb.3) for approximately 10 seconds.
- Release the key only when the LED starts flashing more rapidly.
- Wait a few minutes for the device to complete the Reset operation.
- The operation will be terminated only when the LED will start flashing regularly (1 flash every 2 seconds).
Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) can be upgraded to a more recent firmware version using the Easy Scan Plus
software (Air4 programming software), which is available from the www.silca.biz website, and an adapter
that is sold separately .
WARNING : THIS OPERATION MAKES SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES TO THE DEVICE AND MUST
ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.
WARNING: The external power supply is an alternative to batteries, and therefore the
batteries must be removed.
The device can be powered through an external power supply capable of supplying 5Vdc Imax=500mA
A normal Smatphone charger has all the necessary features.
Required tools (not supplied with the device):
- Fairlead.
- External 5VdC power supply.
- Drill or other tool suitable for drilling.
