10.1 Coolant
The used refrigerant must be compatible with non-ferrous metals (copper/brass), to avoid damages on the heat
exchanger. Do not use distilled or deionized / demineralised water. Due to its corrosive nature, it leads to
corrosion in the cooling water circuit. Because of these properties, demineralized water or seawater is also
unsuitable. Do not use iron-containing water or water with a high lime content (hard water), this leads to rusting
or calcification in the coolant circuit. As not suitable coolant apply cooling water with suspended solids and
untreated, not purified water.
