3.3 Connect coolant hoses

CAUTION NJURY FROM USING UNSUITABLE
Use only for the range of temperatures and pressures suitable coolant thermally insulated hoses and hose
connections.
Check the coolant hoses in regular intervals for material fatigue and replace them if necessary.
Prevent kinking of a hose.
Safeguard the connections against slipping by using hose clips.

WARNING DANGER OF BURSTING
Determine before commissioning the max. admissible pressure for the external circuit. This is determined
by the weakest link (for example glass apparatures). Make sure that this is not exceeded.
Now set up the connection with your external system by using the coolant hoses. To do this, connect the cooling
unit of your system to the entry (upper plug), then from the exit (medium plug) back to your system. Check the
tightness and the tightness of the hose clamps.
3.4 Fill cooling unit and first turn

Do not fill the device over a water pipe – the pressure destroys the heat exchanger.
Do not pour coolant on the device.

CAUTION
Follow the instructions of the safety data sheet of the cooling medium if necessary, in particular the
instructions for use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Do not move the device in the filled state, in order to avoid spillage of the coolant.
Fill the cooling system through the filler plug with a funnel and an appropriate coolant Make sure that the
coolant is suitable for the temperature range (freezing). Turn on the pump during the filling process, as the
system must be bled before placing into operation. Pump and chiller go only above a certain minimum level in
operation. The filled coolant is now pumped into the circuit externally connected.

Never let the pump run without coolant.
After filling turn on the device and set the desired temperature on the controller.
