5 Design and function
The refrigeration unit of the cooler consists of a hermetically sealed regfrigerant circuit, which is ventilated with
an axial fan. The heat exchanger is made of non-ferrous-metal and has a 3/4" filler plug and two 12mm hose
connections with a 10mm inner thread. There is also a drain plug (lowest level connection), through which one the
system can be drained completely. In the cooling device a circulation pump is installed, which is not self priming,
but can be operated for filling and sealing of the heat exchanger with open systems, as long as the open bath is
higher then the cooling device. The system can be vented at the vent screw on the filler plug. In this case, the
system should be filled by the external bath.
