BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Do not use the appliance if it shows signs of damage, if it has fallen or if it is not properly functioning. If the power
cable or the plug have been damaged, these must be exchanged by the manufacturer, the customer service
representative or a corresponding professional before further use.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself or to open the casing. There is a serious risk of electric shock!
• Do not use the appliance outside.
• Use this appliance only for the purposes described in the instruction manual.
• This appliance is only appropriate for use in private households and not for commercial usage.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Remove all protective and packaging material.
• Remove the protective foil from the stainless steel soleplate and wipe the soleplate with a soft cloth.
• Inspect the appliance and its accessories for possible damages. Do not use the appliance if it has been damaged.
• The outlet must be easily accessible, so that the plug can easily be removed in the case of an emergency.
• When positioning the electrical cable, make sure that it doesn't present a trip hazard during use of the appliance.
• During the first usage, set the temperature control to the maximum setting and let the appliance heat up while
standing on its heel plate for approximately 2 minutes without water. During this first heating up period, a small
amount of smoke may be produced which will stop after a short time.
