1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das elektronisch stabilisierte Netzgerät PS-1204ST eig-
net sich zur Gleichstromversorgung von elektrischen
Kleingeräten wie z. B. Taschenrechner, Radio, Kasset-
tenrecorder. Die Ausgangsspannung ist in vier Stufen
umschaltbar (3/6/9/12 V ). Das Gerät ist kurzschluss-
fest und gegen Überlast und Überhitzung geschützt.
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektromagneti-
sche Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der Niederspan-
nungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Achtung! Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netz-
spannung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie nie selbst
Eingriffe am Gerät vor. Durch unsachgemäßes Vorge-
hen besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich. Schüt-
zen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher Luft-
feuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperatur-
bereich 0 – 40 °C).
Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,
z. B. Trinkglas, auf das Gerät.
Die in dem Gerät entstehende Wärme muss durch
Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Decken Sie des-
halb die Lüftungsschlitze des Gehäuses nicht ab.
Stecken Sie nichts durch die Lüftungsschlitze! Dabei
kann es zu einem elektrischen Schlag kommen.

1 Applications
The electronically regulated power supply unit PS-
1204ST is suitable for the DC power supply of small
electric units like e. g. cassette recorder, radio, pocket
calculator. The output voltage can be switched in four
steps (3/6/9/12 V ). The unit is short circuit-proof and
protected against overload and overheating.
2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to the directive for electromagnet-
ic compatibility 89/336/EEC and to the low voltage
directive 73/23/EEC.
Attention! The unit is supplied with hazardous mains
voltage (230 V~). Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only. Inexpert handling may cause an electric shock
hazard.
It is essential to observe the following items:
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against
dripping water and splash water, high air humidity, and
heat (admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g. drink-
ing glasses, on the unit.
The heat which is generated in the unit has to be
carried off via air circulation. Therefore, do not cover
the air vents of the housing.
Do not insert anything into the air vents! This could
result in electric shock.
Do not operate the power supply unit or immediately
disconnect it from the mains socket

Nehmen Sie das Netzgerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. zie-
hen Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose:
1. wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder am Netz-
kabel vorhanden sind,
2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Ver-
dacht auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.
Ein beschädigtes Netzkabel darf nur durch den Her-
steller oder durch eine autorisierte Fachwerkstatt er-
setzt werden.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der
Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes, wei-
ches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch bedient oder
nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haftung für dar-
aus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und
keine Garantie für das Gerät übernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb ge-
nommen werden, übergeben Sie es zur um-
weltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtlichen
Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Die Betriebsspannung des zu speisenden Gerätes
ermitteln (siehe Bedienungsanleitung des Gerätes)
und diese mit dem Schiebeschalter am Netzgerät
einstellen.
Achtung! Achten Sie unbedingt darauf, dass der
Schiebeschalter bei der entsprechenden Position

In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.
A damaged mains cable must only be replaced by the
manufacturer or by authorized, skilled personnel.
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains
plug from the mains socket, always seize the plug.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the unit is used for other purposes than
originally intended, if it is not correctly operated, or not
repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a dis-
posal which is not harmful to the environment.
Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected
to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the let-
ter L or coloured red.

richtig einrastet. Steht er versehentlich zwischen
zwei Positionen, wird das Netzgerät beschädigt.
2) Aus den mitgelieferten 7 Adaptersteckern den pas-
senden auswählen und in die Kupplung des Netz-
gerätkabels stecken. Dabei unbedingt auf die richti-
ge Polarität achten. Die für das zu speisende Gerät
passende Polarität ist den Unterlagen des entspre-
chenden Gerätes zu entnehmen.
Zum Bestimmen der Polarität die Kupplung immer
so drehen, dass die Pfeile von Kupplung und Stecker
aufeinander zeigen (siehe Abbildungen unten).
3) Das Netzgerät über den Adapterstecker an das zu
speisende Gerät anschließen.
4) Zuletzt das Netzgerät an eine Steckdose (230 V~/
50 Hz) anschließen. Als Betriebsanzeige leuchtet die
rote LED.

3 Setting into Operation
1) Find out the operating voltage of the unit to be sup-
plied (see manual of the unit) and adjust this voltage
at the power supply unit with the sliding switch.
Attention! Particular care must be taken that the
sliding switch is correctly locked into the correspond-
ing position. If it is inadvertently situated between two
positions, the power supply unit will be damaged.
2) Choose the matching plug out of the supplied
7 adaptor plugs and plug it into the inline jack of the
cable of the power supply unit. In any case watch the
correct polarity! For the correct polarity of the unit
to be supplied see the documentation of the corre-
sponding unit.
To determine the polarity, always turn the inline
jack in such a way that the arrows of inline jack and
plug face each other (see figures below).
3) Connect the power supply unit via the adapter plug to
the unit to be supplied.
4) Finally connect the power supply unit to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz). The red LED lights as operating light.
