1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das professionelle Elektretmikrofon ECM-290 ist für
den Studio- und Live-Einsatz geeignet. Je nach
Anwendung lässt sich eine der drei Mikrofonkapseln
für eine unterschiedliche Richtcharakteristik (Kugel,
Niere, Superniere) aufsetzen. Zum Betrieb benötigt
das Mikrofon eine Spannung von 48 V , d. h. es kann
nur an einem Mikrofoneingang mit einer entsprechen-
den Phantomspeisung betrieben werden.
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Mikrofon entspricht der EMV-Richtlinie für elek-
tromagnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG.
Verwenden Sie das Mikrofon nur im Innenbereich
und schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser,
hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Ein-
satztemperaturbereich 0 °C bis 40 °C).
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.

1 Applications
The professional electret microphone ECM-290 is
suited for studio and live applications. According to the
application, one of the three microphone cartridges
can be placed for the pick-up characteristic required
(omnidirectional, cardioid, supercardioid). For opera-
tion, the microphone requires a voltage of 48 V , i. e.
it can only be operated at a microphone input with a
corresponding phantom power.
2 Safety Notes
The microphone corresponds to the directive for elec-
tromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
The microphone is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect it against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tem-
perature range 0 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.

1 Possibilités d'utilisation
Le microphone électret professionnel ECM-290 est
adapté pour une utilisation en studio et en live ; selon
le type d'utilisation, on peut placer une des trois cap-
sules micro en fonction de la directivité (omnidirec-
tionnelle, cardioïde, supercardioïde). Pour le fonc-
tionnement, le microphone nécessite une tension de
48 V , il ne peut donc fonctionner qu'à une entrée
micro avec une alimentation fantôme correspondante.
2 Conseils d'utilisation et de sécurité
Le microphone répond à la norme européenne 89/336/
CEE, relative à la compatibilité électromagnétique.
Le microphone n'est conçu que pour une utilisation
en intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de projections
d'eau, des éclaboussures, d'une humidité élevée et
de la chaleur (plage de température de fonctionne-
ment autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).
Pour le nettoyer, utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec
et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou
d'eau.

3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Die gewünschte Mikrofonkapsel auswählen und
auf das Mikrofongehäuse schrauben. Die Richt-
charakteristik ist durch ein Symbol auf der Kapsel
angegeben:

2) Den Mikrofonhalter auf ein Stativ mit 16-mm-Ge-
winde ( 3 / ") schrauben und das Mikrofon in die

Spinne stecken. Darauf achten, dass die Bänder
der Spinne nicht durch die Rillen der Kapsel abge-

3 Setting the Microphone into Operation
1) Select the desired microphone cartridge and screw
it onto the microphone body. The pick-up charac-
teristic is indicated by a symbol on the cartridge:

2) Screw the microphone holder onto a stand with
16 mm ( 3 / ") thread and place the microphone into

the spider. Take care that the rubber bands of the
spider will not be torn by the grooves of the car-

3 Fonctionnement
1) Sélectionnez la capsule micro voulue et vissez-la
sur le corps du micro. La directivité est signalée par
un symbole sur la capsule :

2) Vissez le support micro sur un pied avec un filetage

(spider). Veillez à ce que les bandes caoutchouc de
l'araignée ne soient pas déchirées par les rainures
de la capsule ! Des bandes de remplacement pour
l'araignée se trouvent dans le coffret.
