1) GENER AL FEATURES and U SE POSSIBILITIES
R-Evolution 12 is a D ualband radi o recei ver with 12 z ones , able to store up to 32 detectors for wireless extension of a traditional al arm s ystem:
Sens or Top and Sli m contac ts for protection of doors and wi ndows against openi ng/shoc k; Silent PIR detector for outdoor protection;
Laserbeam barriers for c ontrol over the access areas, remote c ontrols PCK and keypads for bistable and monostable operations. The rec eiver
wor ks with ever y c ontr ol panel, from which it is supplied and to whic h gives out 12 alarm outputs and 4 anomaly outputs by means of a free
.
contact relay
; 16 LEDs dis play and store the functi oning of every zone, thus realizing a total control and a permanent tes ting of the s ystem.
2) TECHNICAL FEATURES
Power supply: 10-14 V DC
Consumption: 60 mA standard
Indications: 16 LEDs of the radio z ones (12 for alarm + 4 for anomal y)
Inputs - outputs : see drawing and ter minal board
reset input: reset of alar m latc hes by led from c ontr ol panel – pr ogrammabl e polarity by dip-s witch 1
Outputs 1-12: alar m outputs with programmable relay NC/NO (SW3) – max 0,1A 12 V DC
Tamper – Batter y – Super vision – Scanner: : alarm outputs with programmable relay NC/NO – max 0,1A 12 V DC
Radio receiving: two s uper heterodyne r ecei vers – 105 db - frequenc y > 400 MHz and > 850 MHz - frequenc y and features i n compliance with
the l aw - approx. indication for s ecurity reasons .
Stock and op erating temperatur e - Protection degree - W eight – Dimensions: see drawing.
3) FUNCTIONING AND OPERATIONS TO CARRY OUT DURING PROGRAMMING
Dip-switch 1 ON : to arm > K input free – to dis arm > positi ve cl osed to K input
Dip-switch 1 OFF : to arm > K input free – to dis arm > negati ve (GND) closed to K input
Dip-switc h 2 ON : the al arm memor y LED is visible when the r ecei ver is disarmed and reset itself at the followi ng arming – OFF = memor y not
active
Dip-switc h 3 ON : the built-in buzzer i ndicates arming (BEP-BEP-BEP) and disar ming (BEP) and the events T amper – Battery – Super vision –
Scanner with additional 5 BEP while arming and disar ming – OFF = buzz er not acti ve
Dip-switc h 4 ON : after an alarm the relays 1-12 s witch also in disar med condition – OFF = they s witch onl y i n ar med condition
.
4) FUNCTIONING OF RELAY OUTPUTS:
The 16 free contac ts are NC and temporarily open i n cas e of alar m (for 2 s econds). In this configuration the LED of the programming zone
flashes slowly By pressi ng onc e SW 3 the output bec omes NO and clos es for 2 sec onds in c ase of alar m: the LED flashes quic kl y. By pr essing
again SW 3 the output bec omes NO and clos es for 3 minutes: the LED light remains on.
While programming the remote controls PCK (red and green buttons) the relay output is always bistable (green=open – red=closed).
While programming the Sensor door/wi ndow contacts with "open door" warning option, the relay follows the opening or closing of the
door/window (i.e. it remai ns open if the door/wi ndow remains open).
5) AL ARM SITUAT IONS (they are always tempor arily disp layed or stored b y the relevant LEDs)
Alarm from detectors: an alarm trans mission from a detec tor s witches the relevant relay accordi ng to programming
Tamper: the openi ng of the recei ver and/or the trans mission of tamper on detec tors al ways switc h the "tamper" relay
Low b atter y: this transmission always s witches the "battery" relay
Supervision: unsucc essful s upervision signals always s witch the relevant rel ay latest after 8 hours from the event
Antiscanner: possibl e radi o noises which inhibit the correct rec ei ving on both frequencies always s witch the relevant rel ay
6) FIRST PROGR AMMING
This operation takes place through self-learning, by preparing the R-Evolution 12 to recei ve the detector trans mission on a sel ected zone and by
carrying out the trans mission its elf. It is possible to program all Silentron detectors and/or remote controls. T he programming remain stored even
after disconnecti ng power suppl y: it c an be c anc elled onl y with a "res et" operati on.
Total reset: supply the rec eiver while open and press S1 for 10 s econds: a "beep" confirms the c omplete cancellation of existing programming.
LED 1 flashes, waiti ng for programmi ng of the first detector.
Programming of first d etector: s elect the requested output functi oning (see 4) and put the batter y insi de the detector. One "bep" c onfirms that
programmi ng has been s uccess ful, 3 "bep" indicates that the detector was already programmed.
Programming of further detectors: change z one by pressing the S2 button and go on as described above.
Programming of r emote controls: after having sel ected the requested z one with S2, you c an obtain a bistable functi on of the relay (on-off) by
pressing together the red and green buttons and listen to the confirmati on " bep"; or you c an obtain a monostable function similar to the
detectors one by pressing for 10 seconds the yellow or blue button (the white button cannot be used) until you hear the confirmation "bep".
End of programming: when programming is finished, press together S1 and S2. Warning: if you do not press any button or no trans missions
are sent for 1 minute, programming is automaticall y ended.
NOTE: in the channels where remote c ontr ols and/or keypads have been pr ogrammed, it is not possi ble to program any detector
7) CANCELLATION / MODIFIC ATION OF PROGRAMMING
For such operations it is necess ar y to open the rec eiver, after stopping the tamper warni ng sent to the control panel, and press S1 to enter
programmi ng mode. To c anc el a detector / remote c ontrol of a zone it is necessar y to s elect the zone and press S2 , then S1 for 10 sec onds
(you hear a confirmation " bep"). To add a detector / remote control, s elect the requested z one and let the detector /remote c ontrol s end the
transmission c ode.
8) EVENTS SIGN ALLING (during normal functioning)
Every alar m is temporarily signalled by the LEDs, therefor e the s ystem tes ting is immedi ate: for exampl e in c ase of alarm of detector no. 5 the
LED no. 5 will be fl ashing; or in c ase of low batter y of detec tor no. 5 agai n, both LED no.5 and the batter y LED will be fl ashing, and so on.
W arning: at ever y arming/disar ming of control panel, the rec ei ver signals with 5 "bep" (see point 3 – di p-switc h 3) the events whic h have taken
place during the las t ar med / disarmed period: this signalling should not be ignored, becaus e it c ould cause a failure in the functioning of the
system or of parts of it. If the buzzer is excluded as requested by the end us er, the installer has the res ponsibility to carry out all the nec essar y
connections so that signals of low batter y, tamper, scanner or lac k of super vision will be s ent through the proper relay outputs connec ted to the
control panel.
